Love this clock. It’s really pretty especially with the low light glow. Makes waking up much more pleasant. The different sounds and white noise make a wonderful nights sleep and even better awakening.

Nice Sunrise Clock With Great Sound Quality
I’ve owned two other Dreamegg sleep machines for some time now, they’re definitely not new to this genre and some of their devices sell over 20k units a month. This must be one of their new introductions into the market. I really like the look of the clock with the cloth/faux wood look. Something different for sure. Without reading the manual, I was able to program the time, cycle through the light options, listen to nature sounds, and program the alarm clock. The manual steers you straight on these operations and it’s certainly wise to read it over thoroughly, particularly if you’re planning on this clock to wake you up reliably in the mornings. My point is it’s operation is intuitive enough that you can most likely navigate it’s operation even if the manual isn’t handy.There are certainly a plethora of options on it from 29 sound options to two variations of light (orange and white). I was especially impressed with the sound quality from this unit, as were my family members. They’re clear and precise and between 29 options (some white noise, some nature, some tunes), there should be an option here for everyone.For those new to sunrise alarm clocks, the premise is that the unit lights up gradually prior to noise emitting from it so there’s a decent chance you’ll wake up prior to a jarring sound that startles you awake. This concept works exceptionally well in a darkened room that has a blackout shade, for example.One caveat I have is that alarm clocks of yesteryear had a distinct snooze and often a distinct silence button on top, so in a sleepy stupor or a dark room, you didn’t have to struggle to turn the unit off. While the snooze button is larger than the others, it’s just not pronounced enough to declare it an “easy on/off” button. When you’re first waking up, you really want as little hassle to deal with as possible, let’s be honest. This is an area that I feel they can improve on. I must admit though, older alarm clocks had a permanently attached power cord. This unit, and most these days of it’s type, has a USB-C cable powering it, so you theoretically just unplug it in the morning to silence it if you wanted a sure bet.Another plus is that the clock digits don’t illuminate the whole room like some clocks do, and the brightness can be adjusted as well to your liking. The clock has memory to it, so it remembers the time when it’s been unplugged. I had it unplugged for several days and it kept the time without issue.A USB-A to USB-C power cable is included, as well as a wall plug, so it’s a self sufficient package. I already have a 3-in-1 power cable on my nightstand, so I’ve just been using that to power it.Overall, I really like this sunrise alarm clock, along with my two other Dreamegg sleep machines. It has quite a few features, great sound quality, a nice look to it, a competitive price point, and a company with a good reputation backing it. I’d say give it a try if you’re looking for a sunrise alarm clock, give this one a try, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

A nice idea with some real flaws
Part of my review has been influenced by the fact that I’ve also used their Sunrise 2 alarm clock which doesn’t have many of these flaws.Things I don’t like about it:* Aesthetic – In theory, the idea of a “wooden” alarm clock seems cool, but the reality is a weird mix of 3 different materials – you have the wooden base, the mesh/felt main (for the light to come through), and then this rubber top that seems like it was trying to match the color of the wood, but failed.* This is an alarm clock, but it doesn’t have an easy to access snooze button. It has a snooze button, but it’s pretty much the same size as the other buttons and isn’t that easy to make out when just reaching your hand over to the clock in a sleepy daze.* Unlike the Sunrise 2 alarm clock, this one has one button that cycles through both the light tone as well as its brightness. So, if you miss the fact that the warm light only has 3 levels of brightness, you need to press the button a bunch more times to cycle through all the options before you get back to that light tone again. Relatedly, this has fewer color options than the Sunrise 2.* Similar to the Sunrise 2, there’s no battery-backup in the event of a power outage. It has a tiny internal battery to remember settings, but it won’t function on battery power alone.* There’s only a single alarm setting, so if you have a different wake-up time on the weekday vs weekend, you’ll need to frequently change it.* The light function of the alarm can work well, but just know that it’s not a “daylight” light that can really mimic sunlight.What I like about it:* The shape of it is a lot more stable than the Sunrise 2. It’s a lot less likely to get knocked over when trying to snooze it because of the wider base.* It does a decent job of slowly increasing the brightness to go with the alarm.* Good speaker with some great white noise options that you can’t easily hear loop.Overall, I like what this is trying to do, but I think it still has a ways to go before it gets there.
