I’ve been using the OXO Good Grips 5-lb Kitchen Scale for a while now, and it has quickly become a staple in my kitchen. Excellent kitchen accessory
This weigh scale is very easy to use and easy to store. I actually keep it in one of my kitchen drawers since it takes up so little room. The scale is accurate, and I like being able to zero out a bowl when I put it on top of the scale to hold whatever I am weighing. I use it to weigh out pasta for casseroles. Also, I purchase five pound packages of ground beef at a time and use the scale to divide the beef into one pound packages. I don’t weigh anything over 5 pounds, so that weight limit doesn’t bother me. Highly recommended.

Love the pullout control panel and large capacity
I use this to measure ingredients for baking. It has been working great. In some cases I’m putting ingredients into a 12 qt tub — the pullout display is critical then as I would not be able to read the display unless it was pulled out. I love being able to measure out large quantities (e.g. multiple lbs or as much as 2 kg).Note: I’m using gram measurements, which is the finest precision level the scale has to offer. Yet another great OXO product!
I like to bake using weight rather than scoopable measuring cups. My results are consistent EVERY time regardless of humidity and other factors that can affect so many baked goods.For years, I used an old Weight Watchers scale, but when I saw this one reviewed, I decided to try it. It is very easy to use, can be switched between imperial and metric measurements. The on/off button also doubles as a “tare” button – it zeros out the weight of the container so you can only weigh the ingredients as you add them.I also like the fact that you can pull out the display so that you can read it when weighing with oversized containers. Finally, it’s small enough that I can tuck it behind anything on the countertop so it’s out of the way and invisible.I am a long-time fan of OXO products – they are well designed and easy to use and this one meets all expectations.

Superb, but for the dead batteries
This unit is a replacement for another Oxo Scale that I wore out! This scale is great. When it has fresh batteries, it goes right to work. HOWEVER when I opened the sealed box today, unwrapped the included batteries and installed them, all that showed up on the display was “LO.” So I uninstalled them, checked that they had been put in correctly, and again, “LO.” So I pulled out fresh batteries from the household supply, and happily all is good again. POINT OFF FOR INCLUDING DEAD BATTERIES! I am otherwise a happy OXO customer.

Loving this scale – the detachable reader is perfect for putting a Dinner Plate on, and measuring food as you’re adding it to the plate. Saves me extra dishes.

This scale has a pull out display so that any plate/container used to weigh can still be seen. It is a compact device that can always be reset to ‘0’ for the container used to weigh. I use it constantly and it appears to be accurate. I find it to be better than my other scale.
