love the privacy screen and the 4k auto zooming feature! it is big, much bigger than my logi 1080p web cam, but it is also really good. if you do not mind the size, this is a great deal. Works great with my m2 Mac mini.

Coolpro AI Huddle Desk Mate Camera (Model CP-P23A)Initially was going to give the picture quality a poor review since the image on my Zoom call was blurry and not as sharp as my built-in laptop camera (1080p). However, I went into the Zoom Video Settings and realized that the boxes for “Original Ratio” and “HD” were unchecked when I selected “CoolPro Desk Mate Camera” as my camera. Once I checked both those boxes, the image sharpened and became clear and crisp and made my video “HD” quality. When I tested the audio and compared the mic from my laptop and the mike from the CoolPro camera, both were the same.The build of this camera is really nice and solid, made of lightweight metal (aluminum?) . There are no plastic parts except for the privacy slider. It is smart wide-angle USB camera with Smart Auto-Focus and AI Tracking and can also be used as document camera since it has multiple angles it can capture. It has both a hinge joint and the camera head itself can rotate 360′ horizontal rotation along vertical axis. So it’s a hybrid camera that you can use as a webcam and as a document camera to show desk objects like drawings, notes or product. There is also a 1/4″ threading on the bottom of the mount, so you can attach this camera to your standard tripod.It video captures 1080p. I love the manual privacy shutter (slide it to the right and it shows the “no video icon”) and that there are two buttons on the right side. The top button helps you manually select 1x/2x/3x/4x focus. The bottom button turns on autofocus and AI tracking, so if you move to the left or right, the video recenters your image on the display. Cool!

Works great with my mac so far, good video, microphone is good, could be used in small office
This is a pretty decent webcam for a small conference room. I ended up getting this to run in my small office so I can use it for another conference room. This device will work with any computer and MAC without needing to install a drive. For macs, you may need an adapter as this is USB A only and not type C. Just to test it, I tried it with an adapter I had on hand and noted that you are able to use the camera with a type C adapter. I was able to plug this into my desktop and mac with no issues of them being automatically detected it. There is no driver installation required on either. It started working in less than a minute. I tried it with windows 11 and it all work just fine. I also tried it with monteray and it worked just fine. The camera was able to default and work right away. The overall camera design look is nice although It has a pretty generic look compared to many other cameras. The only thing I would say is that it is a little wider so it gives you more range of the room than your traditional webcam. The picture quality is a lot better than most cameras of this kind. I have used this once to host my team as the conference room we were schedule for what taken. I would say it runs pretty well for that zoom conference. I actually prefer to have this over my mac webcam. I would say you are getting decent quality and pretty clear pictures. There is not too much lag in the picture. The next thing about this is that the microphone by default is pretty sensitive so you will need to adjust that before trying your first call (saves the other person ears). The microphone can pick up everyone’s voice in the room from afar. Again there is no issues with the device drivers. It is essentially a plug in play. This webcam can be mounted to the top of your monitor. The stand is fairly sturdy. Short of falling on it, it does not look like it will break anytime soon. It is fairly secure and easy to adjust although make sure you have enough slack when mounting the webcam. If you happen to be pulling on the cable it is easy to move the camera. The cable length is long enough to reach from my computer monitor to the laptop we use for conference calls which is about two feet away and still has some slack left. The cable is also sturdy so you do not have to worry about it breaking or fraying. One thing to note is that the device is that the device front is a glossy smooth finish so it can be scratched pretty easily. There are light indicators to show if the webcam is on or not. The picture quality I would say is 1080 p and transmitting quality is going to be dependent on your internet speed. Honestly for the price you are paying for this camera, it is pretty decent quality. It does auto focus so you do not have to do that, nor is there a way to manually focus on the camera itself. The microphone sound again is pretty clear but be sure to adjust it accordingly as you may actually appear louder to someone else. My conference room has direct sunlight and the camera started to yellow from being hit with direct sunlight so often so be aware of that. There is also a webcam cover you can easily just slide to close for more privacy. Overall I think this camera is great for what you need it to do. It does a good job for me during facetime and work meetings. It also could be a good camera to have for your zoom calls. The microphone picks up my voice pretty well with very little background noise. I also like the cover. It is simple but secure.
