Cleans very well
I upgraded from the first-generation model to the iRobot Roomba 104 on January 8, 2026, and overall I’m very impressed. Setup and Wi-Fi connection were quick and easy. The app has a learning curve, especially when it comes to navigation and configuring the mop function, but scheduling is very straightforward once the home map is created.The biggest challenge was figuring out how to schedule mopping. I haven’t been able to set it to vacuum and mop simultaneously for the entire house, so I scheduled a separate mop session for the kitchen and dining room. Once scheduled, the mop function works great and cleans those areas well.Navigation is excellent after the map is established—it no longer bumps into everything like the first-generation model did. If it gets stuck, it sends a notification both verbally and through the app, and you can also locate the unit through the app instead of searching for it manually.The Roomba is very quiet during operation; I can easily stay on the phone while it’s running. The loudest part is when it empties the dust bin. I have the suction set to the highest level due to pets, and it performs very well on both hard floors and carpet.I purchased a refurbished unit, and the only thing missing was the physical manual, which is available in the app.Overall, it feels durable, performs well, and is definitely worth the money. I would recommend it and would purchase it again.

No more tumbleweeds!
This purchase has changed my household. We have 3 pets and 3 floors that have historically been covered in tumbleweeds of fur, which drive me bonkers. My wife and I both work 50+hrs/wk so we don’t have time to stay on top of things. For a while now she has said she wanted a Roomba so during prime days, I got one.For the holidays, I may very well buy another one for each floor.I love the sound of this thing firing up on time every day.The only issue(s) we’ve had so far were around this thing running over our cat bowl and getting itself stuck but otherwise, it’s worked flawlessly.Here are a few tips:When you first open the box, it’s tempting to want to turn things on and to play with the roomba, but let it charge first; otherwise it won’t finish mapping and you’ll have to do it all over again after it has fully charged.When you run this for the first time it may or may not prompt you to do an update like mine did. After the update, it may also take a little time for you to have the option to map your home, which stressed me out a bit, but it will come back.When you do the original mapping, I recommend blocking off stairs or any areas where this thing might fall or you truly don’t want it to go, though afterwards it will remember so you won’t have to keep doing it.Take the time to go through the results of the mapping. Gets the job done
really love this vacuum. It makes my cleaning easier and takes vacuuming and mopping off my plate. I have a very messy little girls who is always dropping stuff on the floor so this combo Vacuum and mop assis my with cleaning up after her. My floor actually looks shiny after I let it loose my my tile floors. It is quiet with it runs and map out the room with precision. The set up and I had no complications in understanding the directions. I have two issues with the product. It sometimes struggle and takes a while to dock after cleaning. The base could be close and it takes a while to find it’s way home. My other complain is the amount of noise it makes when it is emptying into the base. It sound like a engine on a jet when it’s about to take off. The benefits outweighs the kinks that i complained about.

Great Little Robot
We were unsure about purchasing this robot vacuum or a Roborock since this would be our first Roomba, and letting negative reviews of each one made it difficult to choose. We ultimately went with this one for the brand and since it has a SmartScrub feature with the mop. We are 2 people in a 774 sq ft apartment with hardwood floors and a carpeted bedroom. This roomba works great for what we need with helping to keep the floors clean and free of dust or crumbs. The app is simple to use although you need to find the settings in order to have it vacuum or mop at a higher level, and to turn the SmartScrub feature on. When we had it map at first, it didn’t fully register each area of the rooms so we deleted the map and picked up boxes off the floor to let it map and then it was good to go! If you run into trouble mapping, just make sure you have stuff picked up off the floor. Otherwise it’s a good bang for your buck, especially if you don’t have pets and just want some help keeping your floors cleaned! The battery life isn’t amazing, but it will return to the dock to charge and then resume cleaning when it needs to, and I’m okay with it since it’s doing the work for me. It also senses carpet to avoid it while it’s mopping which is a really great feature, and the AutoEmpty dock is super helpful for not needing to empty it each time it cleans.

For an entry-level robot, it is definitely worth every penny.One of the standout features is the improved suction power, which makes a noticeable difference in the cleanliness of my home. Additionally, the noise levels seem to be lower, making it less intrusive during its operation. The mopping function is fantastic, especially since I have carpets. The Roomba 104 smartly navigates around the carpets without getting confused or stuck.Another great aspect is the flexibility with cleaning solutions – you can use any solution you prefer, except for vinegar and bleach. The size of the empty base is also worth mentioning as it is small and discrete, fitting seamlessly into my home.The app is quite user-friendly, allowing you to customize the map and create no-go zones, which is a fantastic feature for an entry-level robot. Overall, I believe the Roomba 104 is an excellent choice for anyone with a small house or apartment.

I recently purchased the iRobot Roomba 694 robot vacuum, and it exceeded all my expectations in terms of price and quality. For its cost, it offers excellent performance, efficiently cleaning dust and debris throughout the house. It’s easy to use and set up, and the ability to control it via the app makes it even more convenient. Definitely worth the money!
