Good quality, affordable, effective
TL;DR – Seems like a good weighted blanket for those seeking quality on a budget.This is my first weighted blanket. I bought it to help me sleep better, and so far (just a few nights) it really does seem to help as the weight discourages movement and helps me keep still to fall asleep. I don’t have a scale to verify the weight (advertised at 20 lbs), but it’s definitely hefty. From what I can tell, it’s just a ton of densely woven polyester threads. As advertised, this blanket doesn’t have variable density from pockets of glass beads, so the weight seems pretty evenly distributed. I got the 42″ x 72″ for my twin xl bed. Width is fine as it drapes over each side a good bit. Seems a bit short, but that’s okay because then it gives my feet and shoulders a little freedom.It arrived packed very tightly in plastic, and opening it required great care to avoid cutting the blanket, not really a con just a note. I was surprised to find little or no smell upon opening the blanket, but I washed it anyways since it was going on my bed. Washed it by itself on cold and gentle in the machine and low in the dryer like the tag says. It took a long time to dry but there were no issues with pilling, excessive lint, or unraveling. There are some strange threads sticking out in one corner. I guess it’s where the thing gets tied off? Possibly a weak spot? Time will tell how durable it really is (though it’s just sitting atop my bed, and I have no pets to rough it up). The material itself isn’t anything to rave about, but it feels okay. It doesn’t seem to have the slick or “sticky” feeling that some polyester materials have, so that’s good. I was pleasantly surprised the navy color is actually very nice. It’s a dark, saturated blue, not too light or purple or almost black like some navy colors.There are cheaper weighted blankets with very mixed reviews and questionable quality. There are seemingly nicer weighted blankets that cost a lot more. I got mine for under $100 (the color/weight choice was on sale or something), so I’m pretty happy with it.

SOOOO COMFY
This is the best blanket I’ve ever had. The weight of it it’s amazing. The size is almost queen size!I should have went with a heavy one but overall I’m super happy with it! The quality of it is great. Its soft! I’m hoping the durability of it stays in good condition once I wash it. I laid down with this and was asleep in less then 20 minutes!

Even Weight Distribution
Looooove the weight and feel of this blanket. Texture is so soft and comfy and helps me sleep so much better. Might be a bit heavy for my body as repeated use left me sore from fighting the blanket all night but still a love. Weight is evenly distributed and don’t have to worry about any beads causing pressure points. Only complaint would come from any crochet/knit product with easy to catch threads that pull and are hard to manipulate back into place but not impossible.

Absolutely love this blanket! It is weighted without restricting movements, it is still breathable. I love the texture and how it is knitted together! I was able to sleep really well with it and the size is perfect for our queen bed!

I sleep really hot, this gives me all the weight without extra heat
I got this because I sleep best when I have a heavy blanket on top of me, and when the room is cool. Normally during the summer, I have to sleep with just a top sheet to keep from overheating. So this was my attempt at something that was heavy, but breathable enough to keep the heat at bay. Initial impressions weren’t great because the packaging was just a series of several sticky wrap layers that I had to work through; it was like unwrapping one of those joke presents where they keep wrapping boxes inside of boxes. There were a couple of places where the weave had gotten loose that I had to tighten back up. But as far as actual performance since then, it’s been great with no other problems. It’s super soft, and the weight is just right for me. I was skeptical at first, but especially with the fan on, it keeps me cool enough to make me enjoy sleeping in the summertime again.

Not great, just okay
It is a nice blanket, good color but it snags very easily. Within 15 minutes, it had 3 big snags just from my moving the blanket. I am a knitter so I know when something is higher quality and this is mediocre. Not bad but just okay. I would not buy this again or recommend it to anyone. I will keep this one but not worth the almost $100 for a machine knit piece.

I love this blanket would buy another, its warm and comfy great for sleeping, watching movies and shows and is weighted nicely unlike other blankets that are two or three pieces.

Great blanket but
My son loves this blanket. The cat put holes in the other type of weighted blanket he had and the beads started falling out. This one has survived the can. Only problem was when we originally got it it was not tied off at the end and started unraveling. I know how to crochet and fixed it though

Nice texture and very cozy. Item knit is loosely woven so my dogs claws catch in it all the time and it leaves pulls. It is a great blanket if you don’t have pets sleeping along side you.

Oh my….WOW!My Son bought this for me as a birthday gift and it is sheer nirvana.It’s like the blanket is hugging me !I love heavy blankets and bedding. There nothing worse than using a supposedly warm rated blanket or duvet that feels like you have a layer of cotton wool floating above you. This is so much better than those hopeless types.I’m not sure it’s light enough for a smaller kid but I am an adult so I’m not caring about that too much.I cannot express how good the quality is in terms of soft fibres and amazing “clinginess” of this blanket. It’s not restrictive as you might think at 15lb in weight.I absolutely love this.I’m disabled and this is so nice to warm me up instead of burning money to try and manage my heating at the temperature I need for health reasons not to mention the controller being at the other end of my home so up n down constantly is not practical for me.My sister has MS and has periods of feeling extra chilly compared to others at home and she also loves camping but finds tent sleeping options difficult to cope with in temperature control so I think Santa may be dropping off one of these for her soon.I know these are a bit pricier than other options but it’s worth it in my opinion (especially when my Son is paying…lol )I have bought, used and discarded fir the cat to use…. many throws and blankets over the last couple of decades since disability has intruded in my life and I can certainly NOT see the cat getting this one from me.I’m sure it will fit in my washer ok ( 9kg Samsung add wash ) and I’ll be using a cool wash and slow spin to keep it plush. There wint be any issues there I’m sure.I highly recommend these if you have a colder house or heating peculiarities or needs like me.And not least of all…. this thing is HUGE so it can be used as bedding for two persons no problem.I’ll keep my hugger in the lounge though and make the TV viewing tune far more comfy using this.Top notch and I bel8eve it’s Great Value For Money in light of how much less I will have to use my central heating and will save massively on those bills.I am so very, VERY happy with this blanket.Ta muchly x
