Great Soundbar with Easy Bluetooth Setup
This Bluetooth soundbar has been a great upgrade for our TV. The sound is clear and full, with much better volume and clarity than the TV speakers alone. Voices are easy to hear, and it really enhances movies, shows, and sports.Bluetooth pairing was quick and easy, and it connects smoothly every time. I also like how compact and sleek it looks—it fits perfectly under the TV without taking up much space. Setup was simple, and it worked right out of the box.Overall, this soundbar delivers great sound quality for the size and price. I would definitely recommend it if you’re looking for an easy, affordable audio upgrade.

One complaint
Very good soundbar and subwoofer. It has different sound profiles, which seem to cover a wide enough range that it would satisfy most people. My only complaint – you can’t use the Bluetooth connection with a tv. At least not well. Issue is, when the soundbar doesn’t get a signal for a while, it goes into standby mode, which disconnects it from the tv. I haven’t been able to figure a way around this, so it’s currently connected via hdmi, which has had 0 issues other than an ugly cord dangling from the back of the tv.Overall, would definitely recommend

Basic, easy, better than stock speakers
If you just want sound that is better than the normal speakers in your TV, this is a good setup. Cheap, Easy to install, no issues.

Great sound.! Especially with movies and music!

No better than internal speakers, even when using HDMI ARC connection.
While easy to set up using HDMI ARC (the highest quality sound option for connecting a TV to a sound bar), the sound quality was no better than my TV’s internal speakers. In terms of functionality, the EQ adjustment does work, as does the surround sound. I found turning up the bass to have no noticeable effect. The sound bar has reasonable clarity, but no improvement over my TV’s internal speakers. There was no greater stereo separation than from my TV.The feedback of the LEDs when you made changes with the remote were clear, once you’ve read the manual. The sound bar was a good fit in front of my TV and looks nice.Even at a bargain price, it’s not worth purchasing and is poor value for the money.

Amazing product, don’t pay attention to others nitpicking.
Just got the B5109 sound bar and it sounds amazing with Apple Music at least over Bluetooth. The sound is crisp and doesn’t seem to have distortion over the normal volume ranges (can’t test full volume). Also the max/peak wattage is 120W and the RMS is 60W (wattage at which the device can run continuously). The size is adequate. Will update if have any issues.

Missing optic cord, poor Bluetooth quality
My soundbar did not come with the optic cord. I reached out to Philips via the Amazon link. I was told I’d get a reply within 24-48 hours, it’s been nearly 72 hours. So, I reached out to Amazon who is sending me a replacement soundbar, but it won’t arrive for many weeks due to back order I’m assuming. Meanwhile, I’m using the Bluetooth option which hard horrible sound quality and doesn’t even sync with the picture (timing is off). It’s too bad someone couldn’t have made this right by sending me an optic cord. Instead I have to wait weeks for a replacement and have the hassle of returning.

Sounds GREAT!!!📀🎸🎼
I am someone who loves movies and music. So I appreciate when I purchase a product that sounds as good as what this Philips sound bar does. Phillips has an app, to change settings for music , movies and with or without Dolby! When I turn on my Roku television, the sound bar automatically turns on. I can control the audio level from my Roku remote. It came with a remote from Phillips, but you don’t have to use both, which is a great convenience.I play music from Spotify, and my CD collection, which sounds great at any sound level up to 100% with no distortion.I did a lot of research before I purchased the sound bar and compared other sound bars made by Roku as well. This is a top quality sound bar, and it was easy to set up!I purchased this for under $100 which was a steal before Christmas! Well worth the money.

I went back and forth with a number of soundbars – checking reviews, features, price, ease of use etc., and settled on this one. It has great sound and even on less than half max volume it is very substantial in creating a rumble effect. Sound travels to the room underneath on volume setting 14 but transfers as a low bass (the subwoofer is on the floor though) however it doesn’t penetrate horizontally to 2 rooms away (1 room away it does but fortunately that is unoccupied) We had it at full volume (32) for about 5 secs before deciding it was probably not wise if we intended to require windows that were not blown out. (it’s very loud)This is in my son’s bedroom and I work nights so sleep during the day and if he has it on a volume setting up to 15 I have no clue it is even on. Does not disturb me with the advantage of having a room between us. He is very impressed with it. His new favourite toy he says. He’s a baker and he says he reckons even with the noise of mixers, ovens and associated machinery in the bakery the sound bar would cut through that and drown them out. Unfortunately his boss won’t let him test that theory.Above volume 15 and in the room below his you can make out lyrics from music but also with a TV on in the room below it again just becomes a background bass-y rumble that fades into the background once you get immersed in the TV you are watching.I have read reviews about the scrolling text being distracting even on the dimmed setting. I asked my son about this – his first response ‘What scrolling text?’ then after watching the display he said ‘That reviewer needs to stop being so easily distracted’ He says if you are concentrating on what you are watching or playing it doesn’t distract you, you have to actively look down at the soundbar. It could also possibly be a placement issue with the reviewer. My son has it below the TV but it is also wall mountable and comes with some fittings. It did take a few goes to get it connected and even now 11 days later neither me or my son are quite sure how we got it working as we thought we’d tried every combination and we still couldn’t do it but then suddenly it came to life. I’m quite willing to accept unknown forces played a part, magic is real!We have it connected through HDMI(ARC) – not gonna lie had to google that, didn’t have a clue. Check your TV has a HDMI port with ARC support for this. It will say ARC in brackets next to one of the HDMI ports on your TV. However, I believe it can also connect through regular HDMI.Price is very reasonable and being able to get it on monthly payments through Amazon made the price easier to handle. One very impressed gadget-loving-console-playing son on his 23rd birthday and one happy mum to have monthly payments with a son’s birthday 20 days before Christmas.

Philips is trusted brand. I have been using Philips Home theatre HTS3152 since 8 years. Hence have gone for Philips TAPB603 this time.Writing this review after usage of around 15 days. Won’t regret it. Awesome product. All connections working fine. ARC, HDMI Passthrough, Bluetooth, USB, Aux.. no problems at all. Sound quality is fabulous. You can really feel surround sound due to DOLBY ATMOS technology on ARC / Optixal ports.3.1 Channel where you can adjust Bass, Treble separately. Also, centre speaker sound can be adjusted. Wow.If you have budget go for it guys. Total value for money.
