Great investment, adds versatility
This hub works great! My MacBook Air doesn’t have USB ports, only C. This has been super versatile and usable. It’s small and lightweight, fits in a pocket of my computer bag for ease of use.Have used it to add a usb keyboard/mouse, read SD cards, HDMI out for presentation, etc.No complaints on any of the transfer speeds, no lag that I’ve noticed and the video/sound of the HDMI are high quality.I like it so much I may buy a spare for the office.

A Lesson in how to use a USB Hub
My Laptop is unlike most laptops – the keyboard (even though it’s a year old) has basically failed to work. I have to use a bluetooth keyboard and mouse (USB #1), I also have two external drivers (USB #2, #3) and I have a headset (USB #4). Here’s a little lesson for ya. The reason some of the 1 star ratings claim it’s faulty or doesn’t work right is they’re plugging too much into this USB hub. It works great but when the more powerful externals are plugged into it at once it crawls. But right now the keyboard/mouse which I’m using to write this drivel, and the headset are plugged into the hub while one external is plugged into my laptop. All is well in the Universe.Be smart. Don’t overload the hub. It works as described. It works well and it’s a great investment. Class dismissed.

Great product. One of my USB ports on my desktop isn’t working well, so I bought this to expand my port abilities. Works great for everything I’ve used with it, flash drive, external drive (transferring large amounts of data between the two at once), headphones. Feels a little lightweight, and a longer cord would be nice, but giving it a 4.5 stars rounded up to 5.
