Great performance
I was unsatisfied with the remote that came with our Samsung tv for 2 reasons the first being that it is to a tv we have in our bedroom and we wanted a simpler version that we could operate in the dark. The second reason was that the tv was not responsive to our pushing the buttons, we sometimes had to push the buttons several times to finally get the tv to react.Months ago we bought a replacement that solved the first problem of ease of use but was even worse in communicating with the tv.This remote solved both issues and did so magnificently, I highly recommend it.

Works fine as a back-up remote
This second remote allows me to connect to the TV and make changes from my computer area without having to run to the other end of the living room to use the original remote. It seems to operate all the TV functions that my original remote does. The only issues that I have found are first when I plug my original remote in, a red light at the top flashes several times and then stops. On this remote, there is no flashing red light and I do not know if the battery is charging or not. Next, when I go into my Samsung TV Power settings to check remaining battery, it only shows my original battery level, not this battery level. It is face down under a light all day, but I would like to be able to check the remaining battery level.
