Quality all in one, fair price, Yamaha stays consistent
Very nice all in one unit, sound feels full and not hollow. HDMI eARC seems to have no connectivity issues, no cutting in & out constantly like other soundbars. Yamaha was my last brand for soundbar, a refurb unit which lasted about 5 years before getting wonky. This one is very nice so far with 2 minute setup and no connection issues unlike the garbage Fire TV Plus soundbar which I gave a shot and immediately returned due to poor sound quality and bad eARC connection issues. $222 price after instant coupon not bad IMHO. The bass sounds great on this all in one imo. No issues with adjusting EQ between games, movies , TV, and live sports 🌟 no readjustments needed between media types. 10/10 Yamaha still on that good good

Excellent Sound Quality at a great price
Excellent sound quality. Easy to setup. I like that there is the ability to add a stand alone subwoofer but I don’t think it is necessary because of the built-in subwoofer.

Bought two times
1st order, used-like-new was open-box. Well re-packaged but the HDMI port was loose and kept disconnecting from TV hence it had to go back, kudos to Amazon support to make this process easy. Ordered new 2nd time. Setup was straight forward. Just connect HDMI cable to TV and two power cables, one for soundbar and another for subwoofer. Subwoofer connects to soundbar automatically and wirelessly. One thing though, included HDMI cable was little stiff and I had to use other cable to keep setup tidy.Since then soundbar is working great. Spoken content is now easier to understand, bass works great with subwoofer. I enjoyed NBA playoff and movies. Game works well, too with low latency. It sounds good even at lower volume level. And I don’t hear complaint from my family in the night. Super happy.

Nice, unique option
Excellent so far. I bought a 10” klipsch sub to go with this. The ability to plug in a “real” sub rather than be limited to a weak (6” compact sub) sub/soundbar combo makes such a huge difference. The soundbars quality is also a cut above without breaking the bank. Happy with my choice.

Sounds good
The sound bar 35″ width pairs well/proportional with my 55″ TV and sounds quite well for non-expert in audio. Like the built-in subwoofer feature and as well additional port to connect external subwoofer if needed. I use the fiber optic (TOSLINK) cable to connect TV to subwoofer for sound. May try the HDMI eARC method for more sound format support.

Bose sound at Yamaha price.
Very impressive. Best soundbar I have ever owned. Paired with my Yamaha 8” powered sub my home theater sounds amazing. Very low profile, you don’t even know it’s under my TV. The bass and clarity from the sound bar is on the Bose level.

Failed after 3 days
Worked fine for three days then lost all capability to stay connected to either TV or Bluetooth devices. Bummed because the sound quality was good. Do not recommend this unit.

Sounds great with OLED TV
Very pleased with the sound and controls of sound offered at its price. Has been very helpful with TV sound without needing full HT setup. Wanted a low clutter clean look to TV stand and something that offered quality sound. Does not disappoint!

The Yamaha SR-B30A is a hidden gem!I bought the SR-B30A over the holiday to compare it with the Samsung HW-Q600C that I bought. And I ended up keeping the Yamaha. It performed much better in bass despite only having the built in subwoofer, as compared to the separate subwoofer on the Samsung. The Samsung had better sound separation, as it’s a 3.1.2 vs the Yamaha’s 2.1 — but the Samsung was WAY too tinny. The Yamaha despite having less channels sounded much richer. The audio from the Samsung was pretty good for movies, though the bass was still a bit lacking, but where it failed miserably was with MUSIC. I played with all the settings on the Samsung, which are fairly limited and couldn’t get music to sound decent, zero bass… and again, very tinny. The Yamaha sounded almost as good for movies, still much richer sound, but not as clean sound separation — but for music it sounded much much better than the Samsung — almost like it was in a different class. The reason I chose the SR-B30A over the SR-B40A is the built in subwoofers AND it supports an external subwoofer. So I picked up a wireless Klipsch subwoofer from Costco to pair it with the B30A. It’s an AWESOME pairing, more bass than you’ll really need — but you can crank it up if you want to physically feel the rumble! And the sound quality and bass from that pairing is way better than any out of the box soundbar/sub combo you can get for the price I paid.CONSThe few things I don’t like about the Yamaha are the fabric vs the metal construction. But I think the fact that really high end speakers use fabric to cover speakers, I think it was a deliberate choice by Yamaha to use fabric over metal for quality of sound purposes! So I think there’s a reason it’s using fabric and it’s not to save money! This could be a reason why the Samsung, which was all plastic/metal, sounded very tinny. The other minor things I don’t like are it doesn’t pair as well with my Samsung TV, which is to be expected. It doesn’t show volume level on screen. And the soundbar has no display, only a few lights that blink — which isn’t very intuitive. Samsung wins in terms of usability, but Yamaha wins in terms of sound quality.

I purchased this Yamaha soundbar and subwoofer to replace an LG model I picked up a few years ago. The LG never really sounded loud enough, although rated at 300W, even when cranked to full volume. It also emitted a random and very annoying popping and staticky noise from the subwoofer regardless of all efforts to fix it.This Yamaha system delivers crisp, rich, clean sound. Using the provided ARC cable makes it a snap to use volume control, on/off without the need to add optical or other cables, using just my TV’s universal remote. No programming required.I hooked up Spotify on my cellphone via Bluetooth to the soundbar with absolutely no problem and the sound & connection are flawless. The soundbar sits conveniently in front of the TV on the cabinet unit with the wireless subwoofer a few feet away on the floor. Hardware is also included if you choose to wall mount the soundbar.I’m more than happy with sound and build quality of this unit – it’s a Yamaha – I shouldn’t be surprised.Ease of setup was surprising as well. I’m a tech-illiterate 71 year old and everything came together without a hitch. There’s also an available downloadable Yamaha app which is handy for some fine tuning.I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this unit to anyone.
