    I recommend this!!
Bought this on sell and I love it!The setup was straightforward, even for someone who isn’t a wiring expert, and the app walked me through everything step by step connect it to my blink app! The video quality is great both during the day and at night. The lights are extremely bright and easily light up my entire driveway, which adds a real sense of security. Motion detection works well, and I like that I can customize the zones so it doesn’t trigger every time a car drives by.

Great Device With Smooth Performance — But Needs Better Light Timing & S
I recently installed this and so far it has been working like a charm. The setup was easy, and the overall performance has been reliable. My only real complaint is the light timer — I wish there were a way to delay the shutoff, because it currently turns off sooner than I’d like.I really love that it comes with a built-in camera, which adds a lot of convenience and peace of mind. However, my free first-year subscription was unexpectedly canceled, and I haven’t received proper support to resolve that yet.Overall, it’s a solid product with great potential, but I’m hoping the service issues get sorted out soon.

Spontaneously shuts off and camera goes offline.
Great light and camera when it stays on. Spontaneously will go offline, tried resetting it and adding it back to system but doesn’t work. Read online other people have had the same issue. Wish I would have read before purchasing two. Hopefully I’ll get a callback from Blink on how to fix it.UPDATE- so I reset my system and still had issues. Busted out the multimeter and discovered the GFCI receptacle that feed power was damaged. Replaced and reset my Blink system and BAM! no more problems. The camera is very clear and lights work excellent. I should have troubleshot my electrical before writing review. Blink did reach out to me and offered to replace the light for me, so I am extremely happy with Blink.

    Easy to use & setup
My system consists of multiple Sync hubs and 10+ cameras and covers a physically large area with the help of a WiFi mesh router system. As a way to look at various parts of the property, the system is ok. But I regret purchasing because although very inexpensive, the system is quite limited. I say this for the following reasons–Scheduling can be done but is only available across ALL cameras on a given sync module.-Using one camera to trigger another is impossible.-Camera trigger time lag is a significant issue: Both the delivery drivers and my spouse are consistently nearly outside or outside the frame of view of the camera looking at the driveway entrance before the video begins. If you are attempting to catch time-sensitive or quick events, I advise caution.-observation showed that the AC powered cameras’ nighttime illumination was always on after dark and apparently visible to several nighttime animals (near IR?). This illumination can be turned off but renders the camera blind after dark in most cases.-if the local Blink camera system, I.e. sync module, loses internet connection, accessing the cameras, even when local, is impossible (our internet service isn’t the fastest or most reliable which highlights system weaknesses)-The camera system should not be considered a real-time security system.Bottom line- extremely inexpensive up-front cost, easy to set up, easy to use, but limited in capability and useless without internet connection.

    Useless in the summer
Updated review on April 9, 2025:Stay away from this product if you live anywhere that gets warmer than 85 degrees. I live in Phoenix and I had problems all last summer and fall with this camera going off-line and needing to be rebooted. Blink customer support was not helpful at all. Then, miraculously, from the end of November 2024 through the end of March 2025, the camera worked reasonably well. Now that the weather has warmed, the camera has returned to its poor quality ways. And another item of interest, I know of 3 other homes in my development who had purchased the same camera, had the same poor quality issues, and are as frustrated with Blink as am I.Updated review on September 5, 2024:The only reason I’m sticking with my original 1-star review is because I can’t go any lower. After my initial negative review in June, a Blink representative contacted me via email and offered to send me a replacement…which I accepted.Side note: In fairness, the representatives were gracious and attempted to rectify the problem…they just didn’t have a product worth supporting.I received the new camera on 8-2-24 and mounted it on 8-5-24. It worked for 3 days and then went offline and had to be rebooted. This pattern continued throughout the month (2-4 days on and then reboot) except now it has gone offline 5 days in a row at various times of the day or evening. Also during this period, I had new fiber optics installed by Cox that significantly boosted the signal strength to the Sync Module and I hoped that would solve the issue. No such luck.So to recap where we are today and as to why I gave a 1 star review on Amazon:• The new floodlight camera is no more dependable than the first one.• The Sync Module sits next to the router and, of the seven Blink cameras I have (5 Minis and a doorbell ), the Floodlight Camera is the closest camera to the Sync Module and router (9 feet). In other words, I can’t get the camera/module/router any closer together.• The new fiber optics I had installed in mid-August boosted an already strong Wi-Fi, but had no impact on the camera reliability.• The only thing that hasn’t been addressed is the Sync Module itself.I emailed this update to Blink customer support on August 31, 2024. I’ve yet to hear back from them.Original review that was submitted June 6, 2024:I was satisfied with the Blink wireless mini cameras I had purchased in April so I decided to replace my front garage door floodlight with a Blink Wired Floodlight Camera. The installation was easy and syncing to the app was a breeze. I was happy with the picture and features…for 3 days. That’s when I received the “Camera Offline” message. The WiFi signal was good, power was on, and all the cheap, battery powered minis were working fine (also want to add that the floodlight camera is the closet unit to the sync module – literally 9 feet away). After following the troubleshooting steps to no avail, I turned the power off and back on: hurrah!…camera worked again…for 4 days. That has been the pattern since the installation of the device. The good news, according to Blink Customer Service, is that while even a momentary WiFi signal disruption will cause the camera to go offline, all you have to do put it back online is to flip your circuit breaker off and on. The bad news is, if you are away from home there is nothing you can do until you return. In summary, if you are a typical American who never leaves the house to run an errand, goes for a walk, or goes on vacation, AND has a WiFi signal that never goes out even for a second, AND enjoys visiting their circuit breaker on a regular basis…then this camera is for you.But if you are that rare breed that actually has a life outside your dwelling, I would seriously consider a different purchase.
