Wired FTW!
I have a Meta Quest 3 and enjoy it a lot, golf is so much fun! But I have some PC games I used to play on Oculus (wired) and haven’t tried them in a while. Ordered this cable and gave it a try, here’s what I learned:Setup is easy, Meta is a big help with this. Make sure you have a USB 3.0 port to get the most out of this. While the cord can be a little unwieldy, there are velcro straps that direct the cable over your back and shoulder, and at 16-feet there is plenty of length to manage, especially when sitting down. You’ll hardly notice that you are wired once you dive into VR.One of the neat features is the built-in charging port, right there on the cable. It is perfectly placed to attach a charger WHILE YOU ARE IN GAME, and get so much more capacity out of your Quest 3.While searching, I found several other similar cables that were more expensive. This cable is well made, it just says “wuality”, sturdy and should give you years of enjoyment at a great price. Two VR Thumbs Up, you will appreciate and enjoy!

Pay a few $$$ more and save yourself the headache
I paid a little bit more for this one but so far so good. I kept having connectivity issues with the other one I’d purchased a year before. Got tired of messing around with it and bought this ine. It seems to be made a bit sturdier and has a wrap around the cable itself. It also feels stiffer. I’ve not had any issues since. Its a few bucks more than ten others but we’ll worth it.

Decent link cable, a little heavy
This link cable worked for my Quest 3 connected to my PC. I simply set my headset to wired and plugged in the cable and it worked right away. For power, I used a separate USB-C cable that supports 100w charging connected to a power block that provides up to 100w to the USB-C port (240w total out of the power block). Over a 2 hour play session, I played a few different games such as Ghost of Tabor, Breachers, Brink Traveller and Google Maps (the VR one, not the flat screen browser version). Over that entire time, my headset started at 72% and stayed at 72% charged. Per the description, the link cable is supposed to keep the headset between 65% and 78%, so maintaining 72% is within that range. Looking at the power block, it said the power draw was anywhere from 9w to 18w.Build wise, I would say the cable is on the (very slightly) larger side compared to the other link cables I’ve tested. The cable is braided and flexible for its size and seems like it will hold up well over time. I did notice the cable hanging off of the back of my headset during my seated play session so you’ll probably want to have a hanger system (which many people do if you’re playing linked and standing up).The price is on the higher side but I think you’re getting a decent cable.

High quality USB 3.0 cable for VR, in-line charger is kind of odd, well made
The AMVR link cable is a very high quality cable, even beyond its intended VR use. While it is marketed primarily as a charging and data link cable for Meta Quest headsets, it has proven to be a solid general purpose high speed USB cable as well. In my case, I’m using it for my DSLR camera for charging and data transfer; however, I also used it on my Meta Quest 3 with no issues. From a functionality standpoint, it does exactly what it claims. When used with compatible VR headsets like the Meta Quest series, it provides a stable USB 3.0 connection with low latency while also supplying power during use. The 5 Gbps data rate is sufficient for PC VR experiences, and the ability to play while charging is a big advantage for longer sessions. The included USB A to C adapter is genuinely useful and adds flexibility depending on what ports your PC has available. While it’s a simple thing, my other cables never included the adaptor, so I always had to dig one out of a drawer to use it in a USB-C to USB-C configuration. As mentioned, I mostly use this cable outside of the VR use case. I actually use it regularly in my photo studio for data transfers and charging my DSLR camera. It lets me control the camera from the computer, transfer photos and videos, and keep the camera powered at the same time without worrying about battery swaps. In that role, it has been extremely convenient and dependable. The price of this cord is about half of what a camera battery costs, so it pays for itself easily. The build quality is excellent. The nylon braided exterior feels durable without being stiff, and it handles repeated bending and movement without issue. The connectors feel solid, especially the reinforced right angle USB C end, which helps reduce strain during use. At 16 feet, the length is generous and practical for both VR setups and studio environments without feeling excessive.Charging behavior is well managed. The built in safety and charging control works as advertised, keeping devices within a safe charge range and avoiding unnecessary heat buildup. While this cable is not meant for charging phones or laptops, it performs very well with supported devices when paired with an appropriate power adapter. I would say that this is the only downside of this cable. I would much rather use a higher wattage supply than have to mess with this odd in-line adaptor. In this configuration you have to get another USB charger and USB-C cable to connect to the cable. It’s like having to charge your cable. It seems excessive and redundant when power could easily be supported over the cable itself. However, this is advertised and made as a USB 3.0 cable, not 4.0.Overall, this is a well made, flexible, and reliable cable that offers more value than just a VR accessory. Whether you are using it for VR gaming or as a high quality data and charging cable for cameras or other compatible devices, it performs consistently and feels built to last. For anyone already in the AMVR ecosystem or using Meta Quest hardware, this is a solid cable worth having.

This is a really good cable its super long and able to game from my PC via the fast data cable much better than trying to do over Wifi. It is easy to set up and offer a fast connection to game on the Meta horizon app giving access to all my steam VR games. When using it with the official VR charging cable into the charging port I can game and the battery life on my quest doesn’t drop at all. It comes all nicely packaged up with cable tidies to use to hold it in place. The next upgrade for this would be a Skyhook system in my room so the cable is above me rather than at my feet.Great value and give a great connection.

This cable is great!Pros(1) 90 degree USBC connector for the headset makes it very easy to route the cable towards the back of your head and out of the way.(2) USBA and USBC connector at the end work great to transmit the signal between the VR headset and your PC(3) There is a separate port which allows you to charge your VR headset via USBC while using it. The port is near the PC port as well which is great as it doesn’t get in the way while playing.(4) The nylon braided cable is very solid and looks to be very durable(5) There’s ample length to allow you to play your game without getting all tangled up in the cord(6) There is even two included Velcro straps to help you attach the cable to the VR headsetCons(1) There really isn’t one that I can think of. The cable just works great and has all of the features that you should look for.Overall it’s a great cable and you won’t regret your purchase.
