Slow and Strange
Slow and strange. I don’t like anything about this android tv box other than i was able to use the USB port on my samsung tv for a power sourse. It seems slow for the most part. I found it strange that i could now download Netflix from the play store, then realized there was a Netflix preloaded and burried deep in the app drawer and there is absolutely no option to move it to the home screen Apps ToolBar.When accessing the Settings menu, a small window opens to the right side of the screen with a directional arrow intended to be a mouse cursor but wont allow scrolling all the way to the bottom of the screen. Return started!!!!

Setup questions was zero, never asked about a Eula….. makes me wonder how much spyware it may have.It’s a little weird that the remote was not paired to the device out of the box. But it was pretty easy to pair with onscreen instructions.But since I plan to keep it in a case with my projector, it’s fine.A very specifically wanted to try something with android where I could not sign in because I plan on letting my customers borrow this projector set up. And I do not want them to have access to my Amazon account so a fire stick was not acceptable and I simply do not like Roku. They always seem cheap and poor performing to me.I like that it came with the power and HDMI cables. Because it is simply USB powered, I was able to plug it right to the back of my projector. I imagine the USB output on your TV or receiver could do the same.I have never tried games on it, but for streaming it is quite snappy.
