What a beauty
Update: This keyboard was definitely crafted for longevity however the keys were super loud over time I noticed it was hard to work and type and I didn’t really like the hollowness of it I also had no idea on how to mod from changing and choosing the right the switches to the ag etc seems like this is suited for gamers or people who really understand modification on keyboards nice keyboard but not for me.This is very high quality keyboard from the touch to the mechanics and layout designs not too mention the sound with every keystroke I’m in love

you get most of the hall effect performance people pay much more for, with some rough edges
This is my first hall effect keyboard, coming from regular mechanical boards, and the difference was obvious right away. The adjustable actuation and rapid trigger feel fast and precise once dialed in. After the initial wow factor, it settles into feeling normal, but in a good way. Movement in games feels cleaner, even if it does not magically make me better. The switches are smooth and responsive, but they are not silent. Most of the noise comes from bottoming out, and the sound is sharp and on the loud side compared to silent mechanical boards. If you care about noise, this will need foam, o rings, or a lighter typing style. Stabilizers are solid though, with no obvious rattle during normal use. I will probably invest in trying different swithes, as it is a hot swappable board. I have not yet gotten them at the time of review though. I did test removing the switches, they are harder to remove than my average experience with regular MKs. It’s also not super clear to me which switches will be compatible. The included booklet does not help with that.Build quality is better than I expected for the price. The board has some weight and stays put on the desk. The metal accents on the sides look nice, and the light bar is easy to turn off if it is not your thing. I do wish they would have kept the pink off the light bar, it limits the customizability of the board. If I get different key caps (which I probably will), I can’t get away from the pink completely. Kind of a big deal to me.—EDIT: You can pop the the top pink bar off! It does look a touch weird, it’s obivous something was meant to be there, but leaving it off makes it look better for me as I’ll be moving away from the pink accents.—The keyboard is tall, so it takes up a fair amount of space despite being a 98 percent layout. The braided USB cable with the right angle connector is a nice inclusion. The web based software does the job. It lets you adjust actuation, rapid trigger, SOCD, macros, and lighting without installing anything. It can feel laggy and a bit finicky to connect, and the firmware update process is not very polished, but once set up, the settings save to the keyboard and work reliably. Polling rate options are there, including 8k, though in practice it feels similar to 1k.I did experience a few brief disconnects early on, which is concerning, but it seemed to stop after a few days. Something to keep an eye on.Overall, this keyboard delivers real hall effect features, solid build quality, and “just okay”-customization for significantly less money than the big names. It is loud, the software could be smoother, and some design choices are questionable, but for the price, the value is hard to ignore.

Decent board from Aula, however it feel/sounds a bit hollow, better for office use than gaming
The Aula Hero 99 wired keyboard is another solid entry in the full-size category, and it continues to reinforce why I’ve grown to like the Aula brand. I own several of their boards at this point, and while the Hero 99 is a bit different from what I normally gravitate toward, it still does a lot of things right. Being wired-only (no Bluetooth connectivity, no 2.4GHz dongle) definitely helps keep costs down, and the use of hall-effect switches also contributes to a more budget-friendly price. What’s interesting about this board is how it manages to feel both inexpensive and premium at the same time. On one hand, it’s noticeably lightweight, which gives it a less substantial feel compared to heavier boards. Stability may be an issue if you tend to get aggressive while gaming; however, it is a near-full board, so it may not be a total issue. On the other hand, the case design adds a surprising amount of presence. The large top accents and metal side plates give it a more upscale look, and visually it stands out more than I expected. I went with the rose gold and black version, and paired with the white case, the color combination actually works really well and looks cleaner than the product photos suggest. This also comes in two purple variants with white keys, and I’m not as crazy about how they look in photos, so the pink one is the correct choice. The layout is another strong point for me. All the keys are clearly labeled, and the overall arrangement is very close to a standard full-size layout. The arrow keys sit closer to the shift key than on a traditional 101 keyboard, but that’s not an issue for me. In fact, this is the layout I generally prefer for productivity and office work. For gaming, I still lean toward a 75 percent board, but for typing and day-to-day tasks, this format feels natural and efficient, especially with the built-in number pad.Customization is handled through Aula’s web-based driver rather than an open-source tool like QMK. That’s fairly typical for boards in this category, and while it limits deeper customization, it’s straightforward and gets the job done. No software installs, no fuss, as long as you’re comfortable allowing browser permissions to your keyboard. The biggest mixed feeling I have is with the sound. Being a hall effect keyboard, it doesn’t deliver that classic mechanical “thock” or “clack.” The keystrokes are accurate and consistent, but the board does sound a bit hollow, especially compared to heavier mechanical boards. It’s not bad, just different, and it may not satisfy someone who’s become accustomed to specific sound profiles.Overall, the Aula Hero 99 is a decent keyboard that aligns well with its price point. It’s not my favorite Aula board, but it offers a good balance of looks, functionality, and value. If you want a full-size, wired hall effect keyboard with some visual flair and a productivity-friendly layout, this one makes sense, as long as you go in with realistic expectations.
