Great video doorbell!
An excellent option if you’re looking to have a doorbell camera for your home or business, or are adding a doorbell camera to your existing Blink setup. This camera is clear and easy to set up and even at night, you can adjust infrared lighting to supplement any to no lighting. Keep in mind that this uses a fisheye lens to get most of what’s directly in front as well as the sides of the immediate area in front, about 4 to 5 feet. Any farther and you may need to consider additional blink cameras to supplement what’s going on. The camera detect motion and and starts recording upon detection of movement, vehicles, or people. The algorithms or AI make pretty good determination of this. Keep in mind, this can run on AA batteries or an external power source like the existing wires from your traditional doorbell. However, if you’re looking for something that gives you a consistent live-view, you may want to look for another option. This camera is good if you only need to know when the camera detects something, making you go to the app and opt to use the live view to see what’s going on. You can only view camera from the app, you can’t log into a website to watch from your browser. It’s still a good camera, just be sure to study what your wants and needs are first for a video system and then determine if not consistently monitoring your video is for you, only watching clips of what’s going on when it records something.

Nice Upgrade From 1st Gen
Worth the upgrade from the 1st gen! The head-to-toe view is a nice and the camera itself looks very sleek and modern on my door. My old one constantly struggled to keep a Wi-Fi connection, but this new version has been rock solid with zero signal issues. Super happy with the performance and the design.

Clear Video & Easy Setup
Easy to install and set up. The video quality is clear, including the head-to-toe view, and motion alerts work well. Two-way audio is clear, and battery life has been good so far. Great doorbell for the price and gives peace of mind.

Gets the job done, easy setup, make sure Wifi router settings are correct
Review is for the entire set – doorbell, inside cameras and sync module. Setup was intuitive and easy with assistance from the app. Every day use is also quite intuitive, like the 2K video quality, night vision capability and doorbell chime built in.Some things to improve:- auto software updates and update feature user can initiative, not sure why this is hidden in settings with some useless link to a useless website that doesn’t actually update the software- much louder doorbell chime- lock or security for doorbell camera, you can easily open and steal this with a paperclip – seriously what the !@#$ are they thinking with this design decision, the whole point of this is security- Wifi 6, 6e or 7 support – shocked this is the “new 2025” model and still stuck on Wifi 5** clear recommendations for home Wifi router settings **- cameras kept going offline and was about to return everything and researched online / Reddit with recommendations for channel and other settings, quite ridiculous they don’t include these details in the setup instructions as it is critical, beware

***NEW UPGRADED MODEL IS POSSIBLY DEFECTIVE. PURCHASE AT YOUR OWN RISK.***
I believe this product deserves 0 stars in its current state. This was quite the awful experience. Purchased updated doorbell from Amazon, got and tested it, turned out to have a very unique defect: a vignette from the black plastic outer casing surrounding the camera showed in every image, video, and live video. So I returned it to get a new one. Tested it, same issue. Alright, third time’s the charm. Spoke with Blink support thoroughly, two Amazon reps, and an Amazon supervisor. This will work right? Nope, this time Blink sends me an RMA package used for “repairs”, and in the box was simply the doorbell itself–no mount, no batteries, no original anything except just the camera.I was so thorough with communicating about this and testing the upgraded doorbell throughout this whole ordeal because I have used Blink cameras for years now, and I vouched for them. I genuinely wanted to be of service to a company I believed in. I was so distraught to see that 3 consecutive doorbell cameras came with the exact same defects (vignette in camera view; cheap plastic covering around the camera that deforms easily and scratches with just a nail easily). The mind-boggling part was that Blink time and time again ignored my plea to discuss this defect. They had 0 care at all, no matter how many images/videos/emails/phone calls I connected with them about this. I truly just wanted to verify for them if it’s at all possible the new upgraded video doorbell has a significant bug, or perhaps at least just a batch.I will be continuing to use my Blink cameras until I find something better. But I will no longer be trusting my security in Blink, a company that has no regard for customer experience, satisfaction, or support. The following was my email to them after a thread of discussing the issue at length with them:—>Hello Blink support,Early this morning at 12-1am I spoke with a representative from Blink support concerning a defect I believe all the new upgraded Blink doorbell cameras have (I have seen it with 3 of them so far and now I am getting a 4th the test). The defect: apparent black shadow/halo around the background of every saved video clip, due to either a poorly recessed camera lens or poorly molded plastic encasing. Please see videos attached before in this thread. There is no plastic on the front, nothing to remove, nothing blocking it but the device’s body itself, and this was the same among the 2 latter devices I actually connected and tested. Also attached previously were two images of the last camera I got and tested and I was asked to “try to take the protective film off the front if there is one” and upon trying the face was scratched so incredibly easily. Not only that, but all 3 devices I received in this ordeal so far felt cheaper made than the previous version. You can tell immediately by looking at the black plastic part of the cameras (top part of face), which below the lens each one had very visible warping and was easily pressed inwards making these indents/warps. That and you can see just how easy to damage the face was, just with one nail, and my nail has no damage at all, I was genuinely just trying to remove a film that didn’t exist.I was told by the representative that she had sent a 4th replacement camera to test, which I agreed to, as if this has the defect then we could be more sure there may be something wrong with a batch or even all of the new upgraded Blink doorbell cameras, but I never received any confirmation email or tracking of the newly replacement shipment. However they were able to change my most recent Amazon order of the new doorbell camera to a return requested. That, along with the full story, is why I am emailing you this morning. Please advise me on when my 4th device to test will come, and if you can, please do ship it as fast as you can because I am concerned for my home’s safety. It has been two days now without video footage of my front porch due to this ordeal with the quality of the new upgrade Blink video doorbell. I love Amazon and Blink is useful, so I sincerely care about the products and want to see the best out of them and the companies. I hope you can be able to help me!<---I was thorough, kind, attentive, and genuinely interested in getting to the bottom of this. They sent me three faulty devices back to back, and when I honored to test a fourth one so we can see if there was a batch or even the whole line with this defect, they didn’t enable me to even test the fourth because they made another blunder in shipping. When I mentioned this all to them and my disappointment and difficulty in this whole issue, their response:--->Apologies for the issue especially regarding with the replacement. We apologize as well if it still not exceed your expectation. The replacement is already been handled with the shipping team, I am not sure how they packed it. I am only processing it for isolation and it was already on their end processing the shipment for you.You can return the defective camera using the prepaid label as well.<---You can see at this point, they STILL had no intention of helping, nor showing that they actually understood the gravity of the issue or the issue at all for that matter. When I mentioned this all to Amazon over the phone, who honestly should have been the one handling this issue in the first place, not me with the manufacturer Blink (an AMAZON company), the representative had only one thing to say: "you may return the item sir, this is all the option we have, the supervisor will tell you the same thing".Lately, Amazon and its vendors has been seriously poor in their logistics, alongside poor customer support performance. A few weeks ago, a shipment of mine worth hundreds of dollars was sent to a different address incorrectly, while I received someone's random package. Then this major Blink doorbell issue. Then later I spend a long time with an ignorant representative to get a trade-in discount on the new doorbell camera (once you've used it once, you cannot again, but I had been doing returns for a defect issue so it was not my fault), and even after explaining the issue thoroughly 5 times she did not understand and kept putting me on hold (after I spoke with a supervisor, I was so concerned with how poor that experience was I had to mention it to him). Today, after having OPT7 underglow lights and interior lights shipped from Amazon and installed onto my car, we found that OPT7 sent me a faulty bluetooth-less underglow, and the totally WRONG interior lighting kit that does is not app enabled. Now, I have to pay my pro shop to remove all these lights and install the correct/working ones.I have felt very defeated lately. Not only all this, but this new doorbell model's sync module HAS NO LOCAL STORAGE. Blink is literally trying to suffocate us constantly in purchasing their garbage cloud plans. Blink is awful.

Picture and sound good
I went w the battery version and so far the batteries have lasted and have worked well w freezing temps. Camera is under a canopy so no snow or rain hits it. Picture and sound quality is good, I like that the notification light can be turned off. I have not used the function to identify people or limit area. Easy to install, easy to use. Only thing I wish I did differently was to put doorbell on its own hub so I could just activate it instead of having to activate all cameras around the house.
