This is truly great tasting water. The timer fails quickly. They did send me an entire new pitcher but it failed too before I could even completely use the first filter. But if you take it apart, there is a battery inside you can replace.

My family and I (including our pets) love thepH RESTORE Alkaline Water Pitcher. We drink water from it daily. Water tastes great room temperature as well as cold. On average, I refill the pitcher a minimum of two times a day. Its easy to refill, especially with the opening on the lid. The only hiccup we’ve had is with the timer resetting itself around day 15 after installing the filter. Not a big issue since I had an idea of when it was initially installed. Going forward I’ll use the reminder on my phone as backup. I would recommend this pitcher to everyone.

Pitcher design is not sanitary.
The lid has a water intake area which opens when water from the faucet streams down on it. This causes the flap in the lid, which operates on a spring, to eventually allow a gap that does not shut tightly. As a result, if you prefer to keep your water on the countertop for room temperature, tiny insects can make their way in! And, that is exactly what happened! Eeww! Recommend that if you use the fill area on the lid, that you let the water stream in very very slowly to put the least possible pressure on the filling area. Otherwise, you can remove the whole lid every time you fill the pitcher. Before the tiny ant made its way into my water, I enjoyed the taste of the filtered water. I stopped using this pitcher for obvious sanitation reasons. I just started using the same company’s filters which are compatible with a Brita pitcher–in a Brita pitcher!

3 Year Review – Our Family’s Source of Water
We’ve been using this pitcher for 4 years. When we first purchased, we were hearing the benefits of alkaline based water and weren’t sure how much we’d use the pitcher. We had water pitchers in the past, but never used them because the taste/benefits weren’t enough to having to constantly refill a pitcher.Quickly, we recognized the taste difference. For me, I can’t drink tap water anymore. If I’m out somewhere, the taste profile of regular tap water is too drastic. My preference is always to have a water bottle filled with water from this pitcher.Of course, I tested the water with PH drops and this thing works incredibly, providing very high concentration of alkaline levels. The only thing that is a requirement is that making sure the water level in the pitcher is always in contact with the filter. If it falls below, you lose the alkaline benefits.3 Years later, this pitcher continues to be THE primary source of water for our home, including our pets. We never drink straight out of the tap and we couldn’t speak more highly about it. Build quality is great, the pitcher is as good as it was day 1 and has survived a couple of drops, full with water, over the years.The filter timer lasted about 2 years, but that was easy enough to replicate with calendar reminders on our phones.If you’re interested in jumping in to the Alkaline water market, this is a great first step. This company makes a ton of other products, but we’ve always just kept the pitcher around. Don’t hesitate, this is worth the money ten times over!
