Great filter, better than the other pitcher filters and well worth the money

Two day’s use. I like it.
It was harder getting the packaging open than it was installing it. It has a real compression fitting. I had an adapter in the faucet fort a portable washer. Might have to go? I installed it on the faucet, removed the aerator, and installed the supplied adapter. The exact right size for the washer fitting.I used the enclosed gaskets, and forgot all about the Teflon tape. Not a problem. The diverter and adapters are well machined and fit tight. I haven’t connected the washer yet, but in the case I do encounter leaks, I’m sure it’s nothing tape can’t handle.I bought this to filter water for a humidifier. I was given some GE undercounter filters, but they have those “rubber grommet” fittings that need water pressure to hold them in. Since my bedroom is directly under the kitchen I decided that was not a great idea.I have a drying rack over the sink, and this thing is bigger than I thought. It fit perfectly in a corner of the sink under the rack. Perfect.It’s lot larger than I thought. so it holds a lot of water, close to a quart. After a few hours, if you want room temperature water, like for cooking, good to go. If you want cold water, that takes a few minutes.It was so easy to assemble and use. The diverter is smooth. I’d had liked a metal handle, but the plastic one looks well engineered. In fact, the whole thing was well engineered. Opening it is easy with the supplied “wrench”, and when you remove and replace the housing you can tell the threads are spot on. A tug on the wrench and it’s off or on.One thing: I didn’t notice if it says it, but max water pressure is 80 PSI. I measured water pressure because the max for the GE filters was 100 PSI. It’s 75 PSI.EDIT: The fitting for the washer did leak. I grabbed the pliers and gave the fitting 2 turns. No Teflon tape required.

Nice countertop filtration system but need better instructions
A good low cost countertop filtration system that provides good tasting tap water. The system is relatively easy to assemble, but the directions need work. For one, make the print larger so a magnifying glass is not required to read the instructions. Secondly, provide accurate information for the installation of the filter. I read two different filter installation procedures, the one provided with the system and another from the company’s website and both were different. The Installation Manual procedure instructs you to “*PLACE THE FILTER WITH THE BLACK CARBON SIDE POINTING DOWN. However, there is no black carbon side. The Users Manual procedures instruct you to “PLACE THE GAC FILTER WITH THE ARROW POINTING UP” and there is no arrow on the filter. I also purchased a replacement filter and I didn’t see a black carbon side or arrows on that filter. Since that filter can only be installed one of two ways, my personal opinion is that it doesn’t matter how it is installed.

As expected good product

Great filter, I have city water with lots of chlorine and it takes the taste and smell out of the water. I’ve seen others say this Leaks but you just have to make sure you clean it out good with soap at first and use the tool to tighten the filter housing as tight as possible and it won’t leak. You can even attach other faucet attachments onto the water diverter too. I also recommend rinsing the filters under the tap first as a lot of carbon comes out at first.
