Finally a band HR from Polar. Worth waiting for the launch.
Love it. I have used the Polar HR systems for 2 decades, and was waiting for a band. I wanted two things – to go back to wearing a regular watch, and to track sleep accurately. A month into use, I am delighted with the loop. I still use the chest strap for it’s unbeatable accuracy in a gym workout, and my Ignite for sauna. The loop tracks my sleep very well, and it’s easy to sync to the “Flow” app. The other bands cost nothing to buy, but do require a subscription (and are a different ecosystem).

Polar Loop: Is It Worth It?
I ended up getting the Polar Loop faster through Amazon (about 3–5 days) compared to ordering directly from Polar. After waiting three weeks for my original order, I canceled it because the delivery timeline wasn’t clear, and communication was lacking.Setup was easy—the Loop connected quickly to the Polar app, which I already had from using other Polar watches. Tracking works well overall. However, battery life is shorter than expected; you’ll likely need to recharge every three days, and even that feels like a stretch. Another drawback is that it doesn’t clearly distinguish between general activity and exercise, so you may want to manually start workouts for accurate tracking. The biggest advantage? No subscription fee. That alone makes it worth considering. If you’re looking for a simple fitness tracker without ongoing costs, I’d recommend giving the Polar Loop a try.

Very comfortable band.
I have a very small wrist so to find a fitness band that actually fits on my wrist is a very rare but this one fits perfectly. The device comes with 2 bands. One is Small to Medium & the other is Medium to Large. The Small to Medium works great for me. The bands are very durable & are slightly elasticized & have a velcro closure so it’s easy to put on & adjust. The device does not have a face so everything is tracked using the Polar Flow app. The app tracks my heart rate, activity & training & my sleep. The app works okay though it did take me a while to get used to it. The app supplies a lot of information & other fitness apps can be linked to the band. I find the sleep analysis especially helpful. My doctor recently ordered a home sleep study for me which was uncomfortable & provided very little insight into my sleep because the head device would not stay in place. I’m not saying that the polar loop is a medical device or that it can replace a medical device but this band has provided far more information than the head device did. The device actually reads my sleep patterns very accurately as to when I fall asleep, unlike some other fitness bands that I’ve used in the past. The band tracks fitness routines pretty well. It works well for step counting as long as the GPS is set to “Precise Location” in the app. I initially had the app set for approximate location but it didn’t track steps well at all at that setting. The app also tracks heart rate & breathing rate but I don’t find that portion very helpful because it basically only tells me what my highest & lowest rates for the day but it doesn’t tell me what the current heart rate is. The band has great battery life. I charge mine once a week & have no issues with it. The band is somewhat expensive in my opinion & I do feel that it could be improved to show real time data instead of highest/lowest for the day. Overall, I’m very pleased with the band & it’s data accuracy & overall comfortable fit.

Quite good. Feels light. You actually don’t feel you are wearing anything. It’s great for me as I don’t really like wearing rings and watches too can be inconvenient for me. This fits snugly and metrices seems upto the mark. Been ten days since am wearing. No complaints yet

Excelente seguimiento sin cargos adicionales $$$Es muy exacto y cada vez mejora la información, para control día y noche de la actividad que no sabemos qué hacemos, increíble la cantidad de ejercicio del día a dia

I switched from a popular subscription based screen-less tracker and the polar loop does a great job with no subscription. Sleep tracking and hrv are on point and I found the activity tracking to be quite reliable as well although not perfect. The app is also decent and it does everything that it needs to do but a design refresh that’s coming soon will be much appreciated

Bought it as a Christmas gift…apparently really decent and NO annual subscription.

I have been using Polar products since the T31 chest strap Heart Rate Monitor some 25+ years ago. The days of ECG heart beat based 5kHz BPM transmission are long gone. New technology such as LED optical based heart rate monitoring is in and Polar needs to innovate to keep up with the competition. A key offering that Polar provides that its competitors don’t is the Polar Flow App for mobile devices and the flow.polar.com website that has a plethora of in-depth exercise metrics. The competition cannot beat Polar Flow offerings in its web software. This is Polar’s advantage. After more than 2-weeks of wearing the Polar Loop, more sleep metrics appear in the mobile Polar Flow App.
