Normally Open NO – dubious quality
From my technical background I would describe these as Normally Open – and only Closed in the presence of the magnet. Replaced faulty 20RS NO units with these on an older alarm installation.Bought a set of 4, tested all on bench before installation. 3 out of 4 gave a closed reading of less than 1 ohm. The fourth was erratic giving a best reading of about 140 ohms when closed. So 3/4 for quality. Price was right. Three installed and functioning for about half an hour now, not sure about durability yet.

Test these when you receive them. I tested all four and one of them would only close with the magnet contact almost touching the sensor which could easily lead to false alarms. I only needed two so it wasn’t worth returning and likely getting the same or worse batch. Just test before installing.
