Reliable Replacement for Aging ADT Sensors
These wired surface-mounted alarm magnetic contacts were exactly what I needed to restore peace of mind in my home. My ADT system was installed back in 2008, and several of the original sensors—especially on the windows—had started to malfunction, triggering false alarms at random hours, including late at night while the family was asleep. Needless to say, it was both inconvenient and unsettling.I tested each of these replacements individually, and they’re fully compatible with my existing ADT setup. Installation was straightforward thanks to the included double-sided tape, and the sensors have been performing reliably since. No more phantom alarms or unexpected wake-ups.I’ve seen some of the reviews about the issue with the wiring terminal and it’s quite difficult to insert the spliced wires as the terminal slot does not move even with the tightening screws completely removed. Simply give it a gentle poke with the tip of a precision screwdriver to allow a bit of space for the spliced wires to get inside and that should do the trick. I have it showing in one of the photos for guide.This 10-pack is a cost-effective solution for anyone dealing with aging or faulty magnetic contacts. Highly recommended for maintaining a secure and quiet home environment.

None of them work at all.
None of the 10 pack work correctly. They are sometimes normally open, and sometimes normally closed.I installed one sensor/magnet set on a door and connected some 18/2 wire. The circuit is closed when the door is open, Open when the door is mostly closed, then closed again when the door is completely closed. I brought a magnet from another set near the sensor, and then it became normally open. The circuit was open when my test magnet was far from the sensor, and closed when the test magnet was near. I tried closing the door again, and the installed magnet changed it back to normally closed (but still also closed when the magnet is very near).I put a continuity tester on all the other sensors. initially they were all closed. I brought the magnets near each, and each time this opened the circuit, and it stayed open when the magnet was moved away.So the design seems broken in a way I don’t understand and don’t care to investigate more.The screw terminals are also made incorrectly. Despite being large diameter, I found it impossible to put in 18 awg solid wire, without first working the flange open with a fine pick tool. It seems like the flange is just too large for the terminal.As of writing, the product pictures depict normally open operation, despite text which says they’re normally closed.Looks like they wrapped up some manufacturing reject garbage to make a quick buck.

These window sensors worked great. A tip for installation is that if the holes for wire is too small, use the accompanying driver to insert to the hole, push it in and it will make the holes bigger. Once I got this figured out, the installation was a breeze. And they all worked. Thank you!
