    For WiFi, I Love it!
I really like Reolink offerings and this is no exception. I prefer PoE cameras, but to be able to replace a standard floodlight with one with a camera is optimal! I have it connected to the NVR for recordings and it’s a nice camera when you might not be able to get network cabling ran, this fills the void. Little more expensive than I like, but so far so good!

Impressive Floodlight and Camera – Super easy to install and configure
This is a really impressive light, right from the way it is presented in the internal (Looks to be laser cut foam to protect and present well) packaging to the instructions, to all of the “extras” that make it easy to install and configure. I’ve not used any of the Reolink products in the past, nor had I even heard of the brand, but I will certainly be looking into their offerings as this one is first rate. Let me explain more…This camera is designed to be hardwired for power but utilizes Wi-Fi for connectivity and transmitting the images. This is exactly what I needed as I’m using this on a workshop that is in a rural connection. I’ve power to the exterior of my building for floodlights already, and installing this was as simple as unscrewing the old floodlight, and wiring this in. I especially appreciated that Reolink thought ahead and provided a way via USB power to bench test and configure the light before the final installation on the outside wall where I needed to be up on a ladder 15’ in the air. This feature alone allowed me to really get to know the camera and make sure it was set up as I wanted.Quickly I do need to mention that the floodlight capabilities of this unit are first rate as well. They light up the area. My only slight frustration is that I’m not sure if the flood lights can be activated by motion as I haven’t figured that out yet. It’s not the end of the world as I’m okay with the light activating based upon light level (dusk/dawn), but it might be nice to have the option of using motion instead. It seems like that should be simple since the camera triggers with motion. If Reolink reads this, I’d sure appreciate a note to let me know if this is possible.Otherwise, I’m very impressed also with the video quality, the ability to pan/zoom, tilt and the tracking capabilities of the camera are cool since I’m wanting to monitor unauthorized access to my property. This camera certainly accomplishes that for me. Oh, the resolution is good as well and the wide field of view is perfect for what I’m trying to do.The app itself is pretty darn good. Unfortunately, I’ve got several different brand cameras at the property so I’m bouncing between multiple apps, but this one is as good, or better than most. Someday I’ve got to figure out if I can incorporate all the cameras through a single pane of glass… That would be very cool. Finally, I need to mention the build quality and my impression of how solid of a unit this is. Many of the cameras I’ve bought over the years are inexpensive and feel it. While this is on the higher end of what I would spend, it certainly feels like it is worth the price. The quality is head and shoulders above what most of my other cameras are.

Great Security Camera, No Subscription Needed, Ceiling or Wall Mount Compatible
I was looking for a camera for the end of my house at the garage entrance. I wanted something that would help me monitor when someone comes up our drive and approaches our home. I have other Reolink cameras, so this camera seemed like a natural choice. What I have loved about my other Reolink cameras is that they have been reliable, the pictures have good resolution and are clear, and they don’t require a pesky subscription, which is awesome! To be honest, I had originally wanted to install a camera where we have a flood light now, that hangs from the eve of our house. I was unable to find a camera that would work as a light, a camera, and install from my eve. Well, at least not a camera that I had any confidence in. Most cameras that I found were wall mounted cameras and I thought this one was too. I was pleasantly surprised that this camera can be hung either way. It’s just a quick and simple adjustment that allows the mount portion to be rotated to accommodate either installation. The description actually does mention the dual mounting option, I just didn’t notice it. Because my husband and I had already made a final decision to place the camera over the garage doors we proceeded to wall mount this camera with plans to add additional cameras in the future. The install itself was pretty easy and straight forward. Because we already have Reolink cameras we already had the app and simply added this camera. One thing that I hadn’t thought about is how difficult it might be to hang a camera and then connect it at that height since it’s hardwired. Luckily, Reolink thought of that and provides a USB-C port that allowed us to connect the camera and test it before actually hanging it on the side of the house. That saved a good bit of ladder climbing right there. Once we had the camera connected and set up, we just wired the light into the existing box and we were all set. So far, we have been very happy with this camera. The pictures are clear and it keeps a consistent connection to our network. We now have peace of mind that we can monitor what happens at our home even when we aren’t there.

    Know before you buy
Updated review:There is no AI search functionality when the Trackflex floodlight cam is connected to the Hub Pro.I purchased both and after set up, found that there was basic search, but no AI search functionality. I reached out to Reolink Support and got the following response in return.“We regret to let you know that when the TrackFlex Floodlight WiFi is added to the Home Hub Pro, the camera will not support the AI video search as the Home Hub Pro does not support the AI video search feature.”It would’ve been nice to know this before purchase, but there is a workaround. By connecting the camera directly to the network rather than the hub, enhanced AI search functionality is retained. The caveat being the increased congestion on the network from each additional device.Despite my initial disappointment, the Reolink Support Team proved to be responsive and helpful. Although support was accomplished strictly via email, replies were generally received within a days time. After becoming more familiarized with how these cameras work, I have decided to place an additional order.

This camera offers excellent security features in one unit. The dual-lens 4K quality is sharp, and the 360° auto tracking works smoothly. The floodlight is very bright and activates quickly when motion is detected. I like the AI detection and local video search, which makes reviewing footage easy. Setup was straightforward, and WiFi 6 connectivity is stable.A strong option for serious home security.

My neighborhood has been getting sketchy lately, with a lot of weird incidents happening at night. We finally decided to get a serious camera to add some real security to the house. I specifically looked for a solid name brand because I did not want to deal with cheap devices and returns! I just wanted something I could set up once and forget about. This Reolink TrackFlex is honestly a beast. Since it is hardwired into the house power, you never have to worry about climbing a ladder to change dead batteries. I had my wife’s uncle come over to help me install it because he is a semi-professional handyman. We swapped out the old light fixture above the garage. I frankly would not have been able to do it myself because I hate messing with electricity. If you are like me, I definitely recommend getting a pro to handle the wiring part. The camera itself has some really smart features. The coolest part is the dual-lens system. It has one wide lens to see the whole driveway and another one that zooms in to track people. The floodlights are insane at 3000 lumens. It lights up the front yard like a stadium when motion is detected. It was so bright that we had to lower the intensity in the app because I was worried the neighbors would complain. And there are many other essential features like the pan and tilt, the 360 degrees view of the street, the great app that allows you to customize every aspect, etc. As I said earlier, it’s a beast! The biggest win is that you do not have to pay for any monthly cloud subscriptions. It is a huge money saver compared to those other brands that charge you forever. We just put a microSD card in the slot, and it saves all the clips right there. You can also send the video to a NAS or an NVR if you have a bigger setup and are looking for local storage. It gives you multiple options to keep your data safe at home. It definitely helps us sleep better knowing this thing is watching the house day and night.

I installed the Reolink TrackFlex Floodlight / Camera as a hardwired replacement for an exterior light, powered from a standard junction box. From a system design standpoint, it behaves like a permanently installed surveillance device rather than a consumer convenience camera. The dual-lens architecture separates responsibilities cleanly. The wide-angle lens provides continuous scene coverage, while the PTZ lens handles optical tracking. This prevents loss of situational awareness during zoom or tracking events. In practice, the wide view keeps recording while the tracking lens follows movement independently, which is particularly useful for long driveways or open yard layouts.Pan and tilt behaviour is controlled and deliberate. Tracking initiates quickly once motion is classified and maintains lock without constant correction. Movement is smooth enough to keep subjects centred without visible jitter. Motor noise exists but is negligible once installed outdoors. Image quality is consistent across both lenses. Daytime footage shows good sharpness and usable detail at distance on the zoom lens. At night, the floodlight enables colour capture rather than forcing infrared, which improves identification detail. Light output and activation behaviour are configurable, allowing the setup to be tuned for different environments and distances. Motion detection and object classification run locally and differentiate between people, vehicles, and animals. After adjusting sensitivity and detection zones, alerts remained focused and did not trigger excessively from environmental motion. Auto-tracking only engages after classification, which reduces unnecessary camera movement. The mobile app is functional and largely utilitarian. Live view loads quickly, and switching between wide and tracking lenses is immediate. Manual PTZ controls respond with low latency, making it easy to reposition the camera if needed. Playback is straightforward, with timeline-based scrubbing and event markers that make it reasonably efficient to locate motion clips, especially when continuous recording is enabled. Configuration options are extensive but not hidden. Detection sensitivity, tracking behaviour, lighting rules, recording mode, and notification logic are all adjustable without digging through nested menus. The app allows local-only operation without forcing cloud subscriptions, and storage options integrate cleanly with microSD cards or Reolink hubs. Notifications are configurable enough to avoid excessive alerts once properly tuned. WiFi performance through the app has been stable on both bands, with no noticeable dropouts during live viewing or playback. Overall, the app prioritizes control and access over visual polish, which suits a device focused on continuous monitoring rather than casual check-ins.Taken as a whole, the camera and app operate as a cohesive system focused on coverage continuity, predictable tracking behaviour, and local control. It feels closer to a traditional surveillance setup with modern software controls, rather than a lifestyle-oriented smart home device. This is a worthwhile upgrade and quality of life improvement to the monitoring of any property. Highly recommend!

The Reolink TrackFlex Floodlight WiFi Camera feels like a big upgrade over a standard outdoor light or basic security camera. Its dual-lens 4K setup provides excellent coverage, combining a wide view with a PTZ lens that smoothly tracks movement. The 360° auto-tracking reliably keeps people or vehicles in frame, which adds real peace of mind.Video quality is clear during the day and impressive at night. With the 3000-lumen floodlight activated, colour night vision shows far more detail than typical infrared cameras, making it easier to identify faces, clothing and vehicles. The light is bright enough to illuminate a driveway or yard and works well as a visual deterrent.Smart detection performs well, accurately distinguishing people and vehicles and reducing false alerts. The Reolink app is intuitive and responsive, offering plenty of customisation for alerts, tracking behaviour, recording modes and lighting. Local storage with AI video search is a big plus, especially with no mandatory subscription.Installation is straightforward for a hardwired unit, although in my case I’ll need to get a longer power cable to run power from inside my garage, which is worth planning ahead. Once connected, the dual-band WiFi 6 has been stable with minimal dropouts. Overall, it’s a solid, feature-packed floodlight camera that delivers reliable security and strong performance.

Amazing camera sensor light system . The camera literally follows every more you make, and it’s so quick to capture movement. The camera has my movement from behind my security door which is one you can not see into from outside, brilliant !Extremely easy to install app from QR code, all settings are within the app and are easily adjusted. Super clear vision and audio.Light is super bright and is also quick in turning on with movement. Is a hardwired item but I had an electrician wire it up so it’s moveable as I’m in a rental.Highly recommend this product!
