RK M75 HE: Smooth Typing, Lightning-Fast Gaming
After a lot of time on Apple keyboards, I took a chance on the RK ROYAL KLUDGE M75 HE (75% Hall Effect) and I’m genuinely happy I did. This keyboard feels like it’s built for both gaming and everyday productivity, and it punches way above its price.First off, the layout is basically my sweet spot. The 75% design saves a ton of desk space compared to a full-size board, but it still keeps the arrow keys and the cluster of keys I actually use. It feels compact without feeling cramped, which makes it easy to move between typing and gaming without constantly reaching for keys. The typing and gaming feel is where it really stands out. The Hall Effect magnetic switches are smooth and consistent, and the responsiveness is noticeable—inputs feel immediate and precise. I’m not a spec-chaser, but the rapid trigger/adjustable actuation isn’t just marketing fluff: it makes the keyboard feel “snappy” and controllable, especially for games where quick repeats and fast movement matter. For typing, it stays comfortable and stable, and it doesn’t have that cheap, hollow sound some budget boards have. The case and internal dampening do a good job giving it a more muted, solid tone.I also want to call out that I love the keyboard overall, and it was an easy transition from my existing Apple keyboard. I was a little worried going from Apple’s slim, clean style to a more “gaming” keyboard would feel clunky or take time to adjust, but it honestly didn’t. The layout felt intuitive right away, and within a day it just felt normal. If you’re coming from an Apple keyboard and want something with more performance and customization, this one won’t feel like a huge leap. The build quality is another win. It feels sturdy on the desk, doesn’t slide around, and the overall fit and finish is better than I expected at this price point. The PBT keycaps feel great under the fingers and seem like they’ll hold up long-term (no immediate slippery/shiny feeling). The legends look clean, and the “glow” effect around the caps combined with the underlighting gives it a really nice look. The RGB is actually done well, too. It’s bright, even, and the underglow makes the whole setup look more premium. Even if you don’t want a super flashy look, you can dial it back to something subtle and it still looks great. The customization options are a big plus—being able to remap keys, tweak lighting, and set things up the way you want makes it easy to tailor for work during the day and gaming at night. And the volume knob deserves its own mention: I didn’t think I’d care about it, but now I don’t want a keyboard without one. Being able to quickly adjust volume (and mute) without hunting for function combos is surprisingly convenient.Overall, this has been a great buy: fast, comfortable, customizable, and solidly built. If you want a compact wired keyboard that feels premium, performs really well for gaming, and still works beautifully for everyday typing—especially if you’re coming from an Apple keyboard—this RK ROYAL KLUDGE is an easy recommendation.

Incredibly Fast and Solid 75% Keyboard That Feels Premium
This keyboard completely exceeded my expectations. The 75% layout is the perfect balance for me — compact enough to free up desk space but still keeping the arrow keys and essential functions. It feels efficient without ever feeling cramped. The Hall Effect switches are the real standout. Everything feels incredibly smooth and responsive, especially in fast-paced games where quick inputs matter. Keystrokes register instantly and feel consistent every time. For typing, it’s just as impressive — clean, controlled, and not overly loud. There’s a nice, slightly muted sound that makes it satisfying without being obnoxious.Build quality is excellent for the price. The aluminum top plate and overall construction give it a sturdy, premium feel. It has good weight to it and stays planted on the desk. The PBT keycaps feel durable and textured, not slippery, and they look like they’ll hold up well over time. The RGB lighting is bright and evenly distributed, and the underglow effect makes it look much more expensive than it is. It’s easy to customize, whether you want something subtle or more eye-catching. The volume knob is also surprisingly useful — being able to adjust or mute instantly without key combinations is a small feature that makes a big difference. For the price, this delivers serious value. It performs like keyboards that cost significantly more, and it works equally well for gaming, work, and everyday use. If you want a compact, fast, and well-built wired keyboard, this one is an easy five-star choice.

Config software/Web viewer times out. Not worth the hassle if looking for advanced features
The KB itself is amazing but the software/web viewer to customize the RGB colors etc. simply does not work. The link to the web viewer for this KB is broken and times out (if you can even find the link in the first place because this model M75-HE does not even appear on RK’s website as of 2/13/26). If you’re ok with a few preset colors, then it is great. If you want to customize colors to match a theme, set up macros, rapid fire etc. then it’s not worth it right now. Save yourself the headache and get something else.I sent the company and email about the issue on Feb 13th and they auto replied that they would be out of the office until Feb 25th! I spent 8 hours on a KB in 2026 trying to simply get the RGB the color I wanted. Will be returning this thing pronto. Not waiting two weeks for the company to respond.

Fantastic 75% keyboard! Very fast and comfortable!
This is a wired mechanical keyboard with hall effect keys in 75%. Royal Kludge makes some of the best boards around and this one is no exception. The case is foam and silicone gasketed keeping the clacks nice and quiet. The keycaps are unique with a industrial racing theme. The feel of the keys is really amazing and hard to describe. This just feels like a much more expensive keyboard. The keys are light but not poppy, and they have a very satisfying mid-click. The media knob is metal and serves as a pause button when pushed. The software is full featured with macros, lighting, custom keys, travel levels, and update control. I can’t find anything to complaint about with this keyboard and I’ve spent over a week trying. This has quickly become my favorite to type on! Highly recommended!

Easy to set up, fun to use.
Easy to set up, fun to use. My son needed a new keyboard for a while and this one fit what he was looking for. He is neurodivergent and likes very specific things. This keyboard checked all the boxes. The keys have a nice feedback when typing, they are not too soft or too hard for him, the colors match his mouse and the volume being an actual nob is a huge bonus. The keyboard itself feels very well crafted. It has good weight to it so it’s not sliding around the desk and it doesn’t feel like you have to be super careful with it. Overall, it’s exactly what he wanted.
