Used to work well – now completely nonfunctional and unsupported
I’ve used these bulbs for a couple of years, and initially, they worked well. They were easy to set up, the app was decent, and integration with Alexa was smooth.But in the past month, the cloud service has gone down twice, leaving the bulbs completely unusable. After being offline for a full week, they came back briefly – only to go down again, with no indication of if or when they’ll function again. They’re now essentially “dumb” bulbs, stuck at whatever brightness level they were last set to, with no local control or workaround.Most frustrating of all, there has been zero communication from Sengled. No status updates, no alerts, no estimated resolution – not even an acknowledgment that there’s a problem. Just silence, while users are literally left in the dark.This kind of unreliability and complete lack of customer communication is unacceptable. Because of this, I will never buy anything from Sengled again, and I strongly recommend you don’t either. There are better smart lighting options from companies that actually support their products – and their customers.

These Bulbs Are Straight-Up Vibe Setters
I didn’t expect to be this excited about light bulbs, but here we are.I picked up these Sengled vintage-style bulbs mainly for their look — that warm amber glow and old-school filament aesthetic is exactly the mood I was going for in our front room. What I didn’t realize was how quickly they’d become one of my favorite smart home upgrades.Setup was surprisingly smooth. I had them connected to WiFi and responding to voice commands in under 10 minutes — no hub required, no drama. Now I can dim the lights, turn them on or off, or set them on a schedule just by talking to Alexa. That might sound like a small thing, but when your hands are full (which they often are), voice control becomes less of a novelty and more of a necessity.They’re bright enough for everyday use, but soft and cozy enough that I actually want to leave them on in the evenings. It’s like they were designed to make your house feel a little more like home — warm, relaxed, and just the right kind of old-school cool.Also worth noting: I’ve had zero connection issues since installing them, which is more than I can say for some other smart bulbs I’ve tried.In short: they look amazing, they’re easy to use, and they genuinely make the room feel better. Can’t ask for much more than that from a light bulb.

Buyer Beware, Sengled Does Not Maintain Their Network
Buyer beware, Sengled has recently stopped supporting their app. My husband and I were using Sengled bulbs in our house for 3 years without issue which is why we decided on Sengled for these Edison bulbs. At first these bulbs worked great and pairing with Alexa worked pretty well. But after about 2 months, all my Sengled bulbs in the house stopped working. We thought it was a fluke so my husband and I spent a couple of hours getting them to sync again and they worked for a few more months, then all my Sengled bulbs stopped working again. After a Google search we discovered that this is an issue that a lot of people are raising about Sengled letting their network crash and they are not maintaining it. So, if you don’t mind re-syncing you bulbs (one at a time) repeatedly, several times a year, proceed. I won’t be buying again.Second issue, these Wdison bulbs are not soft but very yellow lights.

A little tricky to set up…..but worth it.
I have been using these bulbs for about 6 months. A little tricky to setup with wi-fi, but once it’s connected, they are great. The app allows you to set up multiple schedules and brightness of each bulb. You can create lighting groups as well. I would definitely recommend.

This won’t work anymore
Their app just stopped working. Which makes this even more useless because I received an email from Amazon a few days earlier stating that they are no longer accepting the app skill on Alexa because of the connectivity issues. The email said to use the Sengled app exclusively but, like I just said, their app stopped working. Now I have no lights and can’t return this because it’s passed 30-days. I bought this on June 14th and it is now August 3rd.

Amazing
I have been using these lights in my bathroom for over a year now connected with my Alexa. I love being able to walk into the bathroom and just tell Alexa to turn on the lights and they are on. It’s so easy. I can turn them up to 100% and they are very bright or 10% and it’s perfectly ambient. They have been amazing to have, and I love the style and look. I fully suggest them to anyone.

Unable to connect to “smart” bulbs.
While the lights look nice and work as standard light bulbs, very expensive bulbs, the app needed to connect to and control the lights is totally useless. Creating an account failed a number of times and even after an account was created, the app will not see any of the light bulbs. I have tried all 4 bulbs at one time, and a single bulb at a time. I will be replacing these with another brand so I am able to use the smart feature.

I have had mixed results with Sengled bulbs… when they work, they are great. However, it has been hit/miss with regards to them working. They will work for a bit, then just stop connecting… then just start working again with no changes to my network.Having said that, the lights are nice looking, and plenty bright…. BUT, I think I am done with Sengled items.

At this point, they are just very expensive regular light bulbs. They don’t properly connect to the app, and can’t be consistently controlled. Last evening I removed them all and then re-added them, and now 2 aren’t responding. Not impressed, and it’s too bad because I have other Sengled products that work fine.
