Another update: reached out to seller and they warranty replaced it. Worked fine right out the box, fingers crossed it lasts longer than a couple months.Update: 2 months later it no longer connects to my WiFi. Nothing has changed network wise and not much product support.Need this for my office door as it was Bluetooth only. Was skeptical at first, but has worked flawlessly. Highly recommend, you must use the SmartLife app with it.

Functional Tuya Hub, but only for BLE devices
I recently got some generic temperature and humidity sensors for my house, but they needed a hub to connect to WiFi. The description for this product was a bit ambiguous, so I was hoping that it was both BLE and Zigbee compatible based on the images. Unfortunately, when it arrived, it was clear on the packaging (but not the manual) that this model only supports BLE devices, which are largely obsolete now that most devices use the lower energy-demanding Zigbee protocol. I did have a few older Bluetooth temperature and humidity sensors to at least test the hub with, since normally they are only accessible via local BT. Once I plugged in the hub (product includes the micro-USB cable, but no AC adapter), my phone was able to detect the hub and sensors through the SmartLife app right away, and no issues with adding the devices to my account. However, the usable range is quite poor, with only able to have the sensors on the same floor of the house as the hub, and about two rooms away. Still, it works well to monitor the sensors in my attic and bedroom while away from the home, and overall, it is a good product despite the limitations.

Works Well, But Connectivity Can Be Spotty
Overall, this smart hub does the job — it connects my Tuya smart lock to WiFi and works with Alexa and Google Assistant as advertised. Setup was straightforward, and I like the compact design. However, I’m taking off one star because the connectivity is inconsistent at times. Occasionally, it drops the signal and I have to reset or reconnect. Still a good value if you’re okay with occasional hiccups.

I have Alexa Shows and a mixture of FireTV sticks, Cubes and Dots in every room of my house and I have been wanting to integrate some of my door locks with Alexa using Tuya. Now with this great little hub I can finally do it. The speed and quality is great. It’s easy to install and syncs up with no problem to the WIFI network. What a great value!
