Yoolax hub speeds setup process of Yoolax binds in Home Automation with Alexa
Device works very well in speeding setup of Yoolax zebra blinds – much better than their impossible lightwirl remote. Relative to more universal Zwave/Zigbee hubs, this is a bit expensive for it’s somewhat proprietary zigbee application.My initial impression was it lacked full zigbee signal coverage for a 2 story 2400 sq ft home; however, after reconfiguring my equipment rack gear – exposing this hub a bit more – it seems pretty reliable [thus raising my review by 1 star to 4]. Setup was easy and re-pairing is somewhat painless. My biggest gripe and reason for 4 stars is that I shouldn’t have to buy a dedicated zigbee from the blind manufacturer when I already own two zigbee hubs [Hubitat and Vera], but this was far simpler than trying to get it working with the Yoolax blinds otherwise. Once paired, it also integrates well with Alexa – allowing me to setup routines to open and close to various percentages automatically or call out “Alexa, Master shades favorite” after which it goes to 28% closed.

Thumbs up for this little Hub
I’m very pleased with my new hub, I am able to control my Yoolax shade thru Alexa and even program a routine to have it opened and closed at set hours. The hub itself is quite small and connects by cable directly to the router for both power and wifi link. I only have my shade connected but you can also add other compatible devices. Thumbs up for me, it is all good!

Michael, Yoolax’s customer service, was very patient when I contacted them with my connection issues. We texted on Whatsapp and he walked me through the process to troubleshoot my problems. I am happy with their customer service and willingness to better understand the issue to solve the problem.
