Test each switch before mounting
These are really nice reed swiches for Alarm System. They come with adhesive tape for mounting or screws for hard mounting on a surfice. They are very slim and look nice after installation. The wires insert from the bottom. The terminal screws are on the top and are visible but a little paint could be used to help them blend in.Useful Notes:I found the switch activated consistently at 1/2″ (13 mm) or less from the magnet.Test each switch before mounting. The switch will measure infinity normally and less than 1 ohm with the magnet close by.Buy a few more then you need. I found 2 out of 20 switches bad.The screws on the terminals are small but tighten well.A magnetized screwdriver is useful if the screws are removed.Clean the surfaces where the switch and magnet will be mounted. I used 70% alcohol.Connect the wires before mounting. This was easier for me (73yo).Once the screws are loosened use a tooth pick or ice pick to open the terminals.Tighten the screws firmly by hand.

Sensors work great but I had to adjust for the depth difference with a spacer.

They work great with our ADT alarm system. Our technician installed them. Gave them 4 stars instead of 5 because the adhesive on the back could be stronger. They save you so much money instead of purchasing them from the alarm companies.
