Pros- Heats up super fast and keeps the temperature spot on – perfect for my daily coffee and matcha routine- Love the knob – simple and easy rather than touch- Smart design with the handle attached on the outside, so no worries about rust building up inside from welding- Looks really sleek in black and the handle feels nice in your hand (even though it’s plastic wrapped with sticker, it’s seamless)- Just the right size without taking up too much counter spaceCons- The cord is honestly too long and thick for me – wish there was some space underneath the base to wrap it up neatly- That shiny top is a fingerprint magnet and dust collector, but a quick wipe keeps it looking goodOverallHonestly, this is hands down the best black gooseneck kettle I’ve found for the price. Sure, the cord situation is a bit annoying and you’ll be wiping it down more often, but the thing just works perfectly. If you’re into making great coffee or tea at home, you’ll really love this one! Highly recommend than others I compared and bought.

Really nice kettle. Looks really good on your counter. Heats up fairly quickly and has a temp hold feature which is really cool for folks who don’t want to have to keep hitting the button. Great value for how much it costs.

This is actually an extremely good little electic tea kettle! It holds 1 liter of water. All the other one I had gotten were 2 liter kettles, and for one person, they were too big, and had a minimum fill of 0.5 l of water, which is plenty as is.I like that the kettle is smaller, and has a removable lid. I can actually fit it under the fridge water dispenser and fill it up directly. With the other ones, the lids were not removeable, or the kettle was too big to fit under the water dispenser, so it was a pain in the butt, having to fill first a pitcher, and then pitch the water into the kettle.The gooseneck spout is a great feature for a tea kettle. With the concentrated pour of the gooseneck spout, I can precisely pour water onto the tea leaves, and perform the tea tricks to get the leaves to swirl in the different ways, to tease out better brewing performance from them. You can’t do that with a kettle that has a wide short shovel spout like how a lot of them do.The temperature controls are ideal and so easy to use! Push the dial, and it turns on! Turn the knob, and it sets the temperature to any number between room temp and boiling and it starts heating immediately. If you want it to keep a certain temperature for a while, it has a separate hold button that you only need to touch once for it to work. It’s a two button operation, and it is so simple, delightful, and intuitive to use. The other kettle with temp control were so complicated and using the hold temperature feature didn’t make any sense and never seemed to work right. This kettle makes me happy with how it works!There are a couple downsides to this kettle, but they are fairly minor, and not super important.(1) Is that it does not actually boil all that quickly. This annoys me when the 2l kettle will rapid boil the same quantity of water twice as fast that this 1l kettle does. Including the fact that I live in the USA where we have wimpy 110v power, instead of 220v power at the outlet like how the Brits properly have for their kettles. I think that the contact area between the heating element and the water might be small. All the other kettles I have have glass walls and you can see just how wide the heating element is.(2) This is not a “cool touch kettle”. The actual construction is just thin sheet metal, so if you touch the kettle while it is hot it can burn you, like a normal kettle. This is fine, but not ideal when there are so many insulated wall kettles on the market.(3) The thin sheet metal construction also means that the tea kettle starts cooling down rapidly as soon as you take it off the heat. So it doesn’t hold temp very well if you want to take the whole kettle to the table like how I do, and just repose there doing multiple brews. If you want back-to-back brewing, the kettle needs to be on the heater base attached to the wall at all times. It’s not the end of the world, but it’s definitely inconvenient.(4) The wood look handle is not actual wood. This is perfectly fine as either way, it is a good shape, and you never touch heat with this handle. However most imitation wood handles are the soft touch grips that I think are made of silicone, and resist heat as well as being very pleasant to grab. This imitation wood grip is hard plastic and I was definitely let down about that when I gripped the thing for the very first time.Overall, this is basically a perfect kettle that does everything I need or want it to do for brewing tea. It could be even better, but that would make the product more expensive. For the $30-$40 USD that I paid for this item, this kettle sits comfortably in the range where the price is right, and the function is good!All the people that have used my new kettle have commented on how good it works, and they have all praised how nice and aesthetic looking the kettle is as well! I can highly recommend this electric kettle to anyone and everyone!
