Excelente olla la recomiendo 100%
The Instant Pot Duo Plus is a blast. Cook food much faster and with delicious results. It is very easy to use thanks to its digital display and clear functions. I love the variety of options—it can work as a pressure cooker, slow cooker, steamer, and more—all in one appliance. Plus, it’s easy to clean and saves time in the kitchen. Perfect for preparing complete meals in a short time. It definitely deserves the 5 stars!

Quieter. Dial is simpler to use than models with all the buttons
Was recommended by a friend to get this. Most important thing is remembering how many minutes each food type needs. The new dial with “preset times” per food type helps avoid that and is less confusing than the model with too many buttons. You really don’t need all the bells and whistles if you have a recipe book nearby that tells you times; but for the same reason I love my Maverick ProTemp instant thermometer, they both have readings right on the appliance itself. Haven’t figured out how to cook polenta without scalding the bottom, but also haven’t figured out how to make it so tasty any other method! Pressure release is very quiet compared to my friends older non-”whisper quiet” version. 6qt is perfect for me (feeds no more than 4-5 adults), and is easy to find a place to store it as well. Seems fairly sturdy where it counts like the stainless steel insert. The insert is rather tall though. It takes more time to sear meat since there is effectively an 8” chimney for which the steam must travel to evaporate (vs 2” tall sauté pan that breathes easily). Overall a good inexpensive buy. Soft boiled eggs are quick and amazingly great (thanks to the dial to remind me they need to be low pressure). This beats the socks off my high quality German manual pressure cooker (thanks for the recommendation and the memories Alton. It’s still the fastest boiling pot in the west!), where I had to babysit and adjust temperature throughout the duration of the cook for every new recipe.

It IS actually quiter.
I already own a 6 qt and 3 qt Instant Pot. I love Instant Pots! I wanted, not needed, an 8 qt. I enjoy cooking, but I don’t enjoy cooking everyday. I prefer to batch cook a ton of food on one day, making several large dishes. I freeze these meals in Souper Cubes in portion controled meals for my husband and I for several weeks.Having multiple Instant Pots allows me to make several dishes at one time. My 6 qt is great, but I was having to wait until it was done cooking. This 8 qt, though I’ve only used a couple times, is just as great as my other 2. I was able to cook an entire bag of Kirkland boneless, skinless chicken thighs, still frozen, in one batch, not 2 like my 6 qt. I prepared 2 dozen hard boiled eggs with room to spare. Not only does it hold A LOT, it is much quieter. Not only is the steaming portion quieter, but the regular sounds the device makes are as well. The beeps, alarms and notifications are all quieter than my other 2 models. The brand is great, and I am confident this unit will serve me well for a long time.

Makes cooking easy & foolproof
I’m relatively new to using the Instant Pot, but so far I love it. It makes cooking beans so much easier. It’s super functional, especially during times when you forget to lay out meat to thaw earlier in the day and feel pressed on timing. You can stick dry beans and frozen meat right in for cooking instead of having to wait hours to soak or thaw. I will say I wouldn’t rely completely on it being the “faster” option though simply because it does take a significant amount of time to depressurize, especially when it comes to food like soups where there’s a large quantity of liquid. I have a household of 4 and it’s great for us, though sometimes I do wish it had more room, but during my research I learned that the bigger Instant Pots take even more time to come to pressure and to depressurize so I just went with the 6 quart option and I’m satisfied with it. It is hard to remove the smells off of the inner ring when cleaning so definitely follow the instructions for using one inner ring for sweets and the other for savory foods (it does come with 2 rings). I’m not the best cook, but this allows me to cook way more things that I otherwise wouldn’t even attempt on my own because this kind of makes it a foolproof process.

Defective Lid Design – Don’t waste your $$$
I purchased this large instant pot because we like to make bone broth and others students and soups and so I bought the biggest one I could find. Thinking that instant pot would be easy to use was a huge mistake. I cannot get past the installing the lid to perform a test run. This is a poorly designed system. You need to fiddle with this large red O-ring and get it to into the lid somehow I’ve done this about 15 times now and I’m able to get it in there so that when you turn the lid upside down the rings stays, but I can’t get the lid to seal on the pot. The lid is impossible to push down by myself to lock and then trying to turn with a rubber, O-ring is not working at all. I think this is a huge design flaw, and this is not easy to use. I should just be able to open and close and not have to fiddle with this O-ring. I can’t even get beyond the Test. I called the product support line. The one 800 customer service number listed here and they want me to send email photos of the product when it’s brand new out of the box and there’s no one that could talk me through tips and tricks of getting the top on. The customer support person hung up on me after putting me on hold and never call me back. They probably have too many complaints on this product. I would give this zero stars andreturn it if I could, but I think it’s past the window so I guess this is going to be a donation because who has time to fiddle with this thing I’ve already spent hours trying to just steam water on the test. It’s impossible. I am very experienced at using scientific instruments as a chemist, working in a lab and I figured an Instant pot in your kitchen should be something that ANYONE can do and I don’t see how people are using this if I can’t get it to work unless there’s something defective with my unit.
