Awesome appliance
Got rid of the toaster and stand mixer for shelf space. This is an all in one. I’ve used the air fryer, dehydrator, and bagel setting all ready. The food I’ve cooked has come out perfect. The initial start up does smell bad. That is normal. This oven can be stood upright for more counter storage when not using and is easy to clean. I am very happy with this purchase.

Ok, think of this as a 3.75 star review before I begin listing issues with this device. I really like the oven and air fryer functions on this device, a great way to cook anything from pizza, fries, baked potatoes, cakes, sausages, etc. It seems to cook them faster than my standard oven, and with a 90 second preheat, I often just put my food in while it preheats and cook it a minute less. It is so efficient, I couldn’t possibly recommend it enough.That said, I do have some big complaints. First of all, I hate the interface being below the door; especially when the door opens by flipping it downward which will cover the interface every time you open it. I just wish it would have the interface somewhere, anywhere else.Second, if you open the door to do things like flipping food, the timer and heat does NOT pause the device at all. It’s especially frustrating sometimes because if you open the door and forget to press the pause, the door covers up the interface and make it harder to just hit the pause button to make your adjustments quickly. I get normal ovens don’t pause if you open the door either, but I would think this device could handle that function just fine.Finally, my third complaint is about the light. You press the button, and my light kicks on for about 20 seconds then shuts off. It has always done that, and while cooking… it works fine. The real problem with this light is when you must clean the oven. You’re supposed to clean it every time you use it, so you will frequently touch cleaning up your machine if you use it often. I need the light to see the back of the machine and really get it cleaned up well; and it only stays on for a limited time is a hassle. Not only that, but the first complaint with the interface comes up once again. I will clean which will have my hand inside the unit often, so the door is open, when the light goes out, I must repress the button to turn on the light again. It is most frustrating when trying to clean this the fryer properly and I must hit the light constantly while pushing the door up enough to reach the button and turn it on again.I love the machine, but there is a somewhat mixed experience in my mind. If you can handle the complaints I have, you’ll probably love it.

I ordered this for our RV. It has been a game changer! I am able to cook 2 things at 1 time. It doesn’t heat the camper up. It has a clear window on the door. It has a oven light so you can check what’s cooking without opening the door. You can easily cook a meal for 4. Best part when your done cooking you can flip it up out of the way.

LOVE IT! I’ll use it all summer instead of my big oven
I confess, even though it’s for the kitchen, I bought this so that I could carry it outside this summer for baking (we don’t have air conditioning). I haven’t had to carry it outside yet! Yes, unbelievably, it preheats in less than 1 minute. I didn’t believe it until I timed it! I could SMELL my lamb chops broiling before I could feel the heat coming off the oven!The outside of the oven does get VERY HOT. Hot enough to burn so you should be careful no children can touch it and probably keep plastic dishware away from it.Obviously if the oven is hot, it’s adding radiant heat to the room, but I haven’t felt any increased heat. The oven itself is hot but I don’t feel the extra heat even a few inches away! Like I said, I haven’t felt the need to carry it outside even though that is why I bought it. It doesn’t blow hot air into the room like my oven and my old toaster oven.I’m glad I read someone else’s review that mentioned the SP101 is easier to clean than newer models. This is so easy to clean! Not only can you remove the bottom tray, FINALLY a toaster oven that lets you open the bottom of the oven! An especially nice feature given the size of this oven. It would be impossible to clean if the bottom didn’t open.Buttons aren’t intuitive (and I can’t read them without glasses), but they were easy to learn: On, Function, Timer, Temperature, Start. It’s nice that it remembers the function (bake, broil, etc) and time and temp last used, but I haven’t baked the same item twice in a row. I like that it turns off automatically when the time runs out.In addition to broiling lamb chops, I have baked muffins and cookies and mini cheesecakes. The first batch of muffins burned because I didn’t know to adjust for convection baking. Since then, so far, my recipes have turned out as expected when I’ve reduced the heat 25°F and reduced the baking time 25%.The flip up feature is very nice and an efficient use of space. I think that novelty might wear off in my household. A month from now, it’ll likely remain in the down position for convenience and laziness.I’ve only broiled and baked so far – I haven’t even made toast yet. (Palm to forehead: I just realized I ate bread instead of toast with dinner tonight.) I’m looking forward to trying the other features.I wish the interior was about 1″ taller, but I wouldn’t trade that for the ridiculously fast preheating or for the chance that it’d put more heat into the room. I picked this size for its potential portability and I love what I got even if it never moves.P.S. I discovered 12″ square x 1/8″ thick plate aluminum makes great cookie sheets for my Ninja! 1/16″ thick would also work.

I hate bulky devices on kitchen counters, but don’t like hauling them in and out of drawers either. This one gets used multiple times a day and has replaced my toaster and having to use my oven. I make sweet potato fries quite alot now, less hassle, way quicker and over all less smell than using the oven. I think most noteworthy is it heats up so quickly compared to the oven, with similar results. Intuitive to use. I keep it on the counter near my stove so the suction from the extract fan can take up any smells, and because it FLIPS up I don’t sacrifice much if any of my prep area. Good buy.

It heats up incredibly fast, cooks evenly, and the different modes (air fry, bake, roast, broil, etc.) all work exactly as advertised.I’ve already used it for pizza, toast, and a few quick meals, and everything came out perfectly cooked. It’s powerful, quiet, and super easy to clean. The controls are clear and intuitive, and the interior light is a great bonus.This oven has quickly become one of my favorite kitchen gadgets.
