I would normally give any REOLINK product a 5 star. For the price point exceeds expectation and the help desk / support is excellent. The reason I do not give this a 5 star is 3 reasons1) WIFI NVRs currently do not support this camera, and the upgrade will not be released until 1st Q of 2026. This means when you install this camera you cannot config it from the NVR AT ALL. The light/motion default is a flashing light for 30 seconds when any motion is detected, more of an irritation than security enhancement (especially if you have pets)2) Has no external antennae, so no way to install Reolink extender antennas, and range is the REOLINK NVR WIFI Achilles heal. The NVR is not compatible with any of the extenders on the market (i.e. NetGear) – and Reolink says they have their own extender on their web site, but it has been promising it for 6 months now – when asked when it will be available, they are honest and say they have no idea. So for this camera, you have no options to mitigate the weak signal.3) It is a newer camera, and in an apparent effort to make install easier, we found it much more cumbersome – and irritating. Instead of installing the app and reading, It now speaks to you, in several languages, on instructions on how to install – over and over and over. If you have any issues, the thing will not shut up with this language lesson. We ran into a set up issue, not really a Reolink issue, but a delay nevertheless – and even our neighbors were asking us to just unplug the thing because it would not stop blasting the 4 sentence instructions in what sounds like every different language on the planet.Again, I love Reolink, this is my only negative review on their products. But I thought is necessary in that Reolink needs to rethink the current directions they are going. Two big issues they need to address to remain competitive.A) Get something out to address their limited WIFI range fast – PoE is dated and still expensive tech for a camera system (unless you are installing while you are building your house). We really live in a WIFI world nowB) AI or pretend AI systems like this camera has, just adds an unnecessary level of complexity and confusion. I bet the board and senior management were really impressive at the internal demo, but for the regular joe installing these systems, it is just an unhelpful irritation.

I’ve been very happy with the Reolink Elite Floodlight WiFi so far. The video quality is excellent — the wide 180° view covers my driveway and front yard in one shot, and the floodlight is very bright, more than enough to light up the area at night. Motion detection has been reliable, and I really appreciate that there’s no monthly subscription and I can use local storage.Setup was fairly easy, and the app gives you lots of control over detection zones, alerts, and light behavior. It feels like a solid, well-built product overall.Overall, this is a great option if you want a powerful floodlight camera with excellent coverage and no ongoing fees.

Incredible lighting and video capturing. Early into the usage, being 1 week but the customization has been great. Will continue to report over the course of the winter months to see how it fairs in the Canadian Cold.

Great floodlight and camera. Resolution is awesome on the camera. And the lights are very bright. You’re able to change the ‘warmth’ of the light to adjust your preferences of what type of light you are wanting. Able to have up to a 512 gb micro sd card to locally record.No subscription needed to access your device and view recordings. A nice feature is on the app it will show you is the movement a person, vehicle or animal that triggered the alert, even before you click on the video.I has all sorts of great features like push notifications, zones and smart detection. You can set it up to either alert you when an object is detected, or alert with an image to quickly see what is in range. You can also adjust the sensitivity of the alerts and also choose min/max sizes to be alerted of.Install was very easy, gave you all the basic tools minus the screwdriver to attach, but has all the screws and connectors you may need.The baseplate has a built in level which makes mounting the light level so easy. Also has a notch which allows the light to hang by a loop attached to the light such that yore not having to juggle things as you’re wiring things up.Be sure to follow instructions, it tells you to connect the system via USB C and add it to your Reolink system before mounting it. You could probably do this after, but always nice to make sure it works prior to install.1 less star only because at night, the IR night vision will go off for about 1 second before the flood light goes on, so you have a momentary black screen where you can’t see anything. Not major but just a minor inconvenience.Strongly recommend this system to replace all of a person’s floodlights for a great camera/light combo!
