kaput after a couple of weeks,And now it’s fixed – new porch light battery status!
OK so I had some issues first it worked for two weeks then the floodlight went out. Swapped the batteries and connection blah didn’t work. Set up a return, then tried again then it worked! So there is an upgrade I think because now I can see the battery level of the porch light unit! It wasn’t there before. When I had issues it said “check connection or battery” on the porch light. So it was dumb meaning you couldn’t see any status. NOW there’s a status for the porch light battery! Thank you Blink! they must have seen my complaining and rectified. I still have backup solar powered light just in case tho.

Don’t waste your money on the floodlight!
I’ve had Blink cameras at my cabin for many years. I had an old outdoor cam in my driveway, and with all of the great wildlife it picked up I thought I’d get the floodlight to get better pics and videos. So I purchased one two years ago and it has been nothing but trouble. The flood light, the entire reason I got this one, keeps disconnecting and going inop. Then the camera goes offline. When I called support they said no problem, this was an infrequent problem and is easy to fix, just delete the camera and reinstall on the app. OK, how do I do that via the app?….oh sorry, you can’t; you have to be in person. Not so easy as the camera is at my cabin, almost two hours away, and we are only up every two to three weeks. So, next time I was up to the cabin, I did as they said and it reconnected. Went back home and not even two days later it disconnected again. Three weeks later I’m up there again, and delete and reinstall. Lasted three days then disconnected. Next time up replaced the batteries…two years my a**…and it worked again…for a week. Next time up replaced the batteries in the camera and the floodlight. Lasted two weeks and then dead. Each time, the system says the battery level is OK and the WiFi connection is max. In all of the years we have used Blink products, the Outdoor 4 Spotlight is the only one that has ever had an issue. @Blink, unless you can provide a fix for all of us that have suffered through this mess of a product, you need to recall them and refund our money. I paid good money for a lump of crap.

Camera floodlight
I bought this outdoor floodlight when one of my Schitzu fell in the pool. Thank goodness I had lowered the water to the third step in the pool and he didn’t drown. I was so frightened because three of my Schitzu like to walk the edge of the pool deck. I put a strong temporary mesh fence around the pool deck. I bought the outdoor floodlight as an alarm. It works perfectly. It faces my pool and gives me a very clear picture the pool when my Schitzu’s trigger the camera. Best purchase I could have made to alleviate my anxiety. It really is a fantastic floodlight and camera. I am going to buy another one.

Good camera quality
I have a Blink Doorbell and Outdoor Camera set up , 3rd generation. I initially bought a flood light mount for a 3rd generation camera, but for some reason, the flood light was not turning on with sensory. I returned and got this 4th generation one. This one works thankfully and also do like the camera quality on the Outdoor Camera 4. Mounted well, lights up bright and does the job.

Great farm security
Love these however hate how fast the batteries die! We use them in our pasture for our horse to keep eye on animals and they are very helpful. Use the lights to feed at night. Did have a learning curb in how to get lights to stay on. However now we know. Would suggest to get the solor adapter if going to constant use of lights. But easy to install, easy to add to system. Clear images

Great light and camera set up
Camera and floodlight works great. The brightness of the light is not overwhelming but is bright enough for security needs. The adjustability of the lights is very easy as well as the set up. If you already have a Blink system, this is a great addition.

Don’t waste your time
this camera is inferior to the previous model. the previous model i had up running for a very long time, the only annoying thing was climbing up and replacing the batteries. This model i bought in Nov during the black friday sale, i traded in my old previous model 3 for 25% off on top of the black friday deal. Today is Jan 11 and the camera has been offline and off for more than 2 weeks. I put in new batteries and the item will connect but the camera will not turn on. I am sitting next to the sync module and nothing. Did all the troubleshooting and nothing. So i go online to ask for a replacement but they wont allow me to so i contact amazon.. online support can’t give me a replacement so i have to call someone… call support says they can not give me a replacement i have to return it and buy it again. here is the thing i bought this for $50 with black friday sale and 25% trade in credit, for me to buy this right now it will be $99. They do not even stand behind their product to offer replacements. So now if I want this again i have to rebuy it and then call amazon again and ask for a $50 credit when the new light comes. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME. i have 7 other blink lights up around my house including the doorbell do i return them all and switch to another company?? you bet i am. bye bye Blink in 2026. this could have been easily resolved and you could have retained a loyal customer but you want me to jump through hoops to give your inferior product a 2nd try. no thank you.

Great Camera
Good View, Wide Scope. They are also VERY easy to set up!!! I did not realize how easy it would be to install in my vinyl siding. The ONLY complaint I would have is the motion detection is too good and was picking up EVERYBODY and EVERYTHING and sending me notifications. (In reality thats the whole point and why I gave it five stars because its doing exactly what its supposed to do).
