This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. Most devices the alert makes a very piercing sound. This actually has different friendly sound setting alerts. Chimes, door bell “ ding dong” and musical tones. ( even holiday! ) I care for a friend with dementia and this is great because it lets me know when she enters / leaves her bedroom and the bathroom. I bought the 3 pack with 2 plug in alerts that I can easily set up in different locations This is also great for young children to alert you if they open a door. Teenagers so you know when they arrive home safely at night if you fall asleep. For any reason to alert you if something opens!

This is just a brief chime, not a continuous alarm.
Just be aware this is a magnet8c interlock chime, not an alarm. It only plays for a few seconds and then stops entirely if door is left ajar. It is nice and loud if not hard of hearing though.

Very easy to install and set up. We use it on freezer/refrigerator and front/back door We have a autistic son that will get up in the middle of the night. We dont like setting our home alarm so this unit fits. Cost is perfect. We set the receiver up in our bedroom and living room. It will wake us up with ease.

Chime goes off at random time when the doors aren’t opened
Alarm system works fine when doors open but the chime will go off at random times when the doors have not been opened. Maybe it’s a glitch but it’s disappointing and I will have to find another product.
