Realtime Usage Is The Bonus Feature
I purchased this EdgeAnt Smart Thermostat because of its real-time energy usage feature, filter change reminders, and larger display. We currently have a smart thermostat that is compatible with Alexa and Google, but it lacks these additional features. I wish it didn’t require an additional app to access some of these features but if I can access the realtime usage, it’s a bonus.I appreciate that the unit is more compatible with my home’s decor and has a larger screen. Since I’m over 65, the larger screen helps me see the temperature without my glasses.Before purchasing the unit it is instructed to ensure compatibility. My husband hasn’t installed it yet because we are currently relying on our furnace due to the extreme cold. He said this will be a Spring project since we are in our heavy usage period of our HVAC system.Overall, this unit is well-built, has many useful features, is reasonably priced, and has the potential to save us energy based on real-time usage. I think it’s a good value to upgrade your existing thermostat if it’s compatible with your HVAC system.

Smart WiFi Thermostat That’s Easy to Install — App is Great (Check Compatibility First!)
This smart thermostat is really nice, and the app tracks a lot for you. Installation was straightforward for both the unit and the app, and connecting it to WiFi worked the first time—no fussing around, which I always appreciate with “smart” devices.The install was super easy, I know this as my hubby didn’t complain once while installing it!One important piece of advice: use the QR code / compatibility checker before you buy. I was going to get one for my daughter too, but her HVAC setup wasn’t compatible with this thermostat. Better safe than sorry, and it saves you the hassle of ordering and returning something.I also like that it works with Alexa and Google Assistant—we use Google. That said, the app is so easy that you can make changes anytime without even using voice commands. But I will admit, telling Google to help program it was very handy, especially since we like it cooler while we’re sleeping. The 7-day programming with multiple periods per day makes it easy to set and forget.

Smart thermostat is great for the price. Alexa integration is a little dicey.
This isnt too bad of a thermostat. I do like the fact that it can pull the outside weather conditions, much like the Nest can. The app was very good at providing step by step instructions for installing it in place of the old ones. showing what wire goes where and how to set up the adapter if needed. Its good that they provide the adapter. I knocked one star off because the integration with Alexa isnt as straight forward as their manual says. After getting the skill synced up, Alexa has difficulty changing the temperature if the thermostat is set to auto. It only sets the temp correctly if it is set to hot or cool. Probably because Alexa polls it first to see what temperature its set to before changing, and the auto feature returns two different temps that Alexa wasnt expecting. So if they could work on that part of their skill it would be awesome.

Great thermostat for a Great price
This is a very nice premium looking thermostat without the premium price. It is Wifi so can be controlled with the app from anywhere. The 4.3 inch color touchscreen is large and looks great. It even has an auto brightness feature. It is highly customizable schedule wise. It can be programmed for 7 days with different settings slots like Home, away, sleep etc. (up to 8/day). In addition it’s compatible with Alexa and Google. Installation is not complicated but it does require a C wire. Overall a great thermostat for a great price
