As a busy mom and a very light sleeper, this alarm clock has been such a good purchase for me. This is one of the nicer sunrise clocks you can find in this price range, but it could definitely use some improvement. The speaker is fairly decent, although the white noise options are hit or miss, some sound good while others are not great.The main reason I’m taking a star off is the thunderstorm sound. It causes something inside the unit to rattle every time the thunder plays. Unfortunately, even though thunderstorm noise is one of my favorites, I can’t use it on this clock because the rattling is too distracting to sleep with.The sunrise light is nice once it is fully lit. The way it starts in the middle with an unusual shape and then works its way outward is a little strange, but it still provides a much gentler wake-up experience compared to a harsh alarm or an instant bright light. Even at the brightest setting, the light feels more like a mood or nightlight rather than something that would abruptly wake you up. I also really like the warm color of the light, it’s very soothing.
